The Good: big portions, gigantic cocktails priced low, the beach location, if you want to avoid mexican food they have ribs and burgers.

The Bad: bigger portions more expensive than adjacent restaurants, mexican items on menu not very mexican and fail as a result, only one waitress on staff so if restaurant starts to fill up you wait about an hour for your food or another drink.

note: the coconut shrimp are apparently a local dish, only tried them here, but they were so cloyingly sweet i was afraid to order them anywhere else to compare. Large potion but sweeter than a donut. Panko coated fish donut basically.

So if you walk by this place wanting big boozy drinks but not mexican food, and it is less than 30% full. Head on in !

Juan's Place has been a staple for visitors for years and everyone talks about the Garlic Fries which have the perfect balance of garlic and salt but what nearly no one talks about is the amazing sunsets. The vantage point is from the north end of Guayabitos Beach, looking back along the full beach and seeing the rock formations at the south and the sun setting beyond.
Burgers, Fries, Margaritas and a perfect Sunset - can it get any better?

Nice varied menu. Never had nachos like the ones served here...the best. Creative menu, clean. Service is a bit slow (everything is cooked to order) so take your time...you are on vacation!

Very good food in spite of a short menu. Beer is very cold, margaritas are average, service is always friendly.

We are currently sitting waiting for our food. We’ve been here 90 minutes and they haven’t even asked if we want another drink yet. Those have been empty for 50 minutes. Can’t tell you how the food is, we never know. Karla’s next door is excellent though. I’d recommend the coconut shrimp if you go there.

Also, the ladies washroom was locked from the outside. One washroom for men and ladies and no lock and no toilet paper.
