A fab little cafe right on the beach at Barry. We only stayed for ice creams which were great but the menu and food looked really good and we wish we’d stopped for lunch.

Popped in for a coffee on Sun 11th and ended having food as it all looked delicious. Not our first visit and we were not disappointed. Soup in a roll was outstanding even if a bit messy towards the end but hey ho that's half the fun. Cake and hot drinks spot on too. Dog friendly which was a bonus. Staff really chilled and relaxed but very professional and really helpful. Great time thank you and very reasonably priced too. Would not hesitate to recommend to other visitors and family. Great little place to eat

My friend and I decided to visit Barry on a whim, as I'd wanted to go for ages. The weather was cold but sunny, and blue skies. We walked along the front, and spotted Bay 5, not sure at first, if it was open, as we approached we could see the blank wall side.
So pleased that it was though, all the tables inside were full, so sat outside, on the sheltered balcony. We both chose the Ciabatta roll, one ham and one cheese, plus drinks. Both well received.Even though it was busy, we waited less than ten minutes to be served.
The young staff are a real credit to the ownner, so friendly and approachable, taking time to chat about our day. Lots of dog walkers on the beach, and well behaved dogs are welcome inside .
My first visit to Barry did not disappoint, and will certainly visit Bay 5 again. Thanks
