Usually we never come back to the same place for holiday...except this amazing B&B with its wonderful hosts. It just feels like coming home! You should definitely have dinner there, it's the best we ever had in Wales. Also the breakfast is perfect. Everything is cooked with fresh ingredients from local produce. This cosiness in a stunning scenery - we love it!

Bron-Y-Llys is a perfect retreat, located in an area of Wales with huge skies. For us, it was a delicious escape from the business of everyday life.
Maya & John are attentive & gentle hosts. We were welcomed with a cup of tea & welsh cakes, warm from the griddle, and this set the tone for our stay. Our upstairs bedroom was blissfully comfortable & well appointed, with every need catered for.
Breakfast was a delight with the charming detail of personal napkin holders. Food was excellent, from the freshly squeezed orange juice to the locally sourced ingredients. The mushrooms evoked memories of childhood, when food had more flavour.
We opted for an evening meal and this was a very good choice as Maya created a delicious menu.
In addition to walking, photography & exploring nearby towns eg Llanidloes, we enjoyed seeing locations used in BBC's 'Hinterland' including Devil's Bridge.
Like all visitors to Bron-Y-Llys, we're now working out when we can return!

The generosity of provision and warmth of welcome far surpassed any expectations. We were welcomed with tea and cakes on arrival - and indeed offered them every time we came in at the end of the day. We had our evening meals here and they were a real cordon bleu experience. Maya is a wonderful cook!
The setting is wonderful - up among the hills, far from anywhere. Great hill walks around. The house is set in a very attractive garden, with a cabin to retreat to if so desired.
Our room was spotless, comfortable and spacious.
We can't recommend it highly enough..

I stayed here for two nights when walking Glyndwr's Way and it felt like staying with old friends. Maya and John were so welcoming and it was a genuine welcome. Then things just got better! A plate load of home made cakes with tea, a superb home cooked evening meal with more than enough to satisfy anyone's appetite and to cap it all freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast. So much better than a five star hotel. I wish I could think of a reason for returning for another stay! Thank you.

Solo walker on Glyndwr's Way. Met with tea and delicious cake and made to feel very welcome.

The house and gardens (including a lodge at the top of the garden) are beautiful and my room, Siskin, was lovely. Dinner was delicious and afterwards Maya kindly brought mint tea to the lodge whilst I enjoyed the views and the tranquility. There is also a guest lounge if the weather is not so kind!

The breakfast menu offered interesting options away from the "full Welsh" (I had halloumi with roasted tomatoes), with everything from the earthenware crockery to the table setting beautifully presented.

I left feeling totally rested, the place really is a haven of calm. Thank you Maya & John.

Room tip: All 3 rooms will be beautiful
