We have just returned from a wonderful weekend in this cottage in Laugharne . The position is right. In the centre of the village with off road parking . Inside the cottage is beautifully decorated and very comfortable . The owner Andrew left us a lovely welcome pack of :- welsh cakes , Bara brith cake and a bottle of wine ( a lovely touch ) we were within 3 mins walking distance of The castle , we were there for The Laugharne festival and could not have picked a better spot .the local Spar is close also some very lovely cafes and restaurants .
The ideal place place for a break away .
Would definitely visit again . Thanks
If you need a peaceful holiday then Little Avalon is the place to stay. Clean, well equipped, tastefully decorated, comfortable and central to Laugharne. There was a welcome pack consisting of Welsh cakes, Bara Brith and wine awaiting us and the owner even text to find out if we were satisfied with everything!!
Laugharne itself is a beautiful small town with all we needed for our holiday (it even had its own castle). We learnt all about Dylan Thomas- we visited the famous Boathouse and saw where he was buried in the graveyard of St Martins Church. The walk along the estuary in the evening was quite special – so tranquil with the curlews and oystercatchers calling.
Only a short drive to Saundersfoot, Tenby and many other interesting places. We visited beautiful Barafundle Bay and walked along the cliff tops to Broad Haven South Beach.
It was a very peaceful and interesting week in Laugharne and I will definitely be using Little Avalon as a base again in the near future.

We stayed here over the Easter weekend with our two boys, aged 7 and 5. The owners had clearly thought cleverly about everything a young family would need. We were made to feel welcome by thoughtful gifts left for us. The owners were available and helpful when we needed them (before and during our stay) and discreetly out of the picture when we did not. The lounge area was big and comfortable and the kitchen was a light and spacious area well equipped with everything we needed. The bedrooms were really nicely finished and there was a spacious outside area. The property was tucked away so there was a sense of privacy about our stay.
The location is perfect for a stay in Laugharne! The castle is a minute's walk away, and the seafront is on the doorstep. There are restaurants, cafes and a convenience store in the square round the corner and a child's play area at the back of the property. It suited all of us down to the ground. We are planning a return visit for sure.
