Just got back from one week stay at Tretio cottages. Just perfect- perfect cottage, perfect location and the weather was even great. Cottage is only 10 mins walk from stunning coastal path and second to none places to launch the sea kayak. Cottage itself was spacious, spotless with all mod cons and really well equipped and a delight to come back to after a hard day walking or fishing off the rocks. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Rob and honey are very warm welcoming hosts who clearly have put a lot of thought and effort into renovating the cottages on their really lovely working farm. Just go- stunning part of the world, you will love it.
I have stayed in establishments claiming themselves to be " rural retreats" and been kept awake by voices and sounds coming through the walls from people renting next door. This was absolutely perfect attached to the owners' farm house..from which not a sound came! I was quite happy waking to the sound of the nearby cockerel.
Away from any significant roads; Tretio was the most peaceful placeand Ysgubor a warm spacious cottage. Lovely welcome of a victoria sponge and milk in the fridge. The showers were hot and everything was spotlessly clean.
I would recommend this to others seeking peace and quiet.
Tretio is a 15 minute drive away from St Davids
A wonderful cottage, set in a quiet location. Very comfortable and warm with well equipped kitchen. Lots of extras, including cake on arrival with tea and coffee. Quality bedding and towels. If you like to 'get away from it all' then this is the place for you. Nearest beach Whitesands with St Davids a little further. Thank you Honey and Rob for you welcome. Hope to visit again
If you want a cottage that is comfortable, clean, spacious, well equipped and very quiet in a rural setting within a short car ride of the magnificent,Pembrokeshire coastline, this is a good choice for where to stay. There is just one word of caution: one of the two bedrooms, (each with its own bathroom and toilet) is on the first floor, accessed via a more than average number of stairs, this property being an excellent conversion of a tall barn. Whilst ascending these stairs to bed and descending for breakfast may have echoes of a grand country house, disabled folk would find the upstairs accommodation difficult or impossible to access.
We were welcomed by Meg the dog and beautiful sponge baked by Honey what a great start to our break. We have stayed in various cottages in past but none compares to the high quality of these cottages no expense spared to give you the best comfort possible. Honey and Rob are able to recommend places to visit and also recommend places to eat. There are plenty of walks and leaflets in the cottage if you can be tempted to leave the comfort of the cottage and log burner
