Stunning house with a fascinating history, sensitively renovated and beautifully fitted out. Much more spacious than photographs show, with every room a pleasure to look around and take in. Wonderful sense of history and witness to the past, and the perfect base for exploring historic Ruthin. Our three children had a very exciting and memorable time. Lovely warm welcome from owner, Carol. A gem of a house.
Ruthin is conveniently located to explore the North Wales coast, Snowdonia, and the Horseshoe Pass and Llangollen area to the south. The house is located near the edge of Ruthin, but within easy walking distance to the town centre with local shops, pubs, restaurants and a Tesco supermarket. Although there is no car parking at the house, there are two car parks with free parking between 1700-0800, and a local park with a duck pond and playing fields, all within 100 metres of the house. Ruthin Gaol museum is just across the road from the house.
The house is full of historical character with wooden beams and panelling. It has been recently modernised, but has retained its original character, and is very well fitted out. There is a good supply of books and games.
The owners are very friendly, helpful and provided an initial supply of tea, coffee, bread, butter, milk and fruit.
