I had no idea this existed let alone how well preserved it was. A short walk across fields but well worth it.

It is interesting to find that people lived here several thousand years ago, but there is not a lot left of the site. We called in on a walk in the area, and it does not take long to see the site. We also looked at the ruined 12th century chapel nearby.

You need to cross a couple of fields to reach this site which is fascinating if you like ruins - the remains of an old encampment with roundhouses etc. Also on the same site are the ruins of the old church. It's a fascinating place.

A short walk, three kissing gates and a short climb up steps leads to this magnifent vestige of an ancient villlage with round and rectangular foundations. It is quiet and gives a real feeling of how local people lived 2000 years ago. On the way back, cut across the field to a beautiful old chapel (hen capel) and then walk up the hill to see the burial chamber on the right hand side of the road about five minute up the road.
