We loved our stay at the Moelfre cottage retreat. The cottage was immaculate - beautifully decorated, clean, well equipped and also in the perfect location. It was easy to find and the private parking was great. During our stay we were lucky enough to be there for the Moelfre lifeboat day which was great fun. We also had days on Lligwy and St Davids beaches, coastal walks to Bychan and Lligwy, and food and drink at Ann's Pantry and the Kimnel Arms, both of which are right on the doorstep. We climbed Snowdon, walked around Newborough Warren, visited Greenwood Forest park and took in the seals and other wildlife on a boat trip to Puffin Island. Every night it was great to return to the cottage as it was warm and comfortable, and the beds were comfy too. Everything was thought of - even beach towels, beach chairs and buckets and spades! We were also supplied with wine, Welsh cakes and milk on arrival, which was very thoughtful. Thank you for a wonderful stay. X
thank you to maryam n John for letting us stay in you're lovely cottage, it's home from home so well equipped with everything you need to have a relaxing break in a peaceful village by the sea. On arrival there was fresh milk in the fridge n some delicious Welsh cakes which is perfect to have waiting for you after travelling a long way.
The cottage is spotlessly clean and even has a BBQ and beach chairs for you to use it's so peaceful being able to sit outside in the back garden overlooking a little stream. We would highly recommend this cottage for anyone wanting a nice quiet relaxing break and We Would definitely stay again in the future.
Our 2nd visit to Moelfre (previous was 2 years ago).
'Cottage' was vastly superior to previous one.Very well decorated, clean and
welcoming.Plenty of easy parking space. Nicely placed for local amenities - coastal path for walks;pub or cafes for eating out.
Many places of interest to visit, within easy reach by car.
We really enjoyed our 10 day stay, which, as usual, seemed to fly by.
No hesitation in awarding a 5* rating and recommending Moelfre Cottage Retreat
to any self-catering visitor to Anglesey.
Recently stayed here w/c 22nd October. Owner John was very helpful and promptly responded throughout the booking process. We were even contacted after we arrived to ensure all was well and that we had everything we needed.
The cottage itself was finished to a very high standard and we felt instantly at home as soon as we set foot inside. The cottage was spotlessly clean with everything you could need. There was plenty of room for the three of us and our dog.We have stayed in other accommodation that accepts pets and quite often it is assumed that you will accept a lesser standard of cleanliness as a result, but no need to worry here as you wouldn't even guess pets had been in it.
The cottage was very warm and cosy and had a lovely sea view from the bedroom. We had a really relaxing holiday. The cottage was in a great location with a shop just over the road and a great chippy just a few door away. Parking space was great and only 5 min walk onto coast path and sea front. Was a great base for exploring the rest of the island.
Will definitely be back again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.
We've just returned from a fantastic holiday in Moelfre.
This cottage is immaculately decorated and furnished, it also is very well equipped, the owners have thought of everything! The owners are very helpful too. We used the cottage as a base to explore Snowdonia and Anglesey but there was also plenty do entertain us around the village of Moelfre. My family truly enjoyed our stay here and I would definitely recommend this cottage!
