We had a great stay in Ty Capel. The house had everything we needed and Kevin was very helpful. It was the first time we had visited Anglesey but we'll definitely be back. It was great to be able to park outside the house and walk to the various shops and restaurants. We attended our son's graduation at Bangor Uni while we were here which was easy to get to and we returned in the evening to a lovely meal at The Pier House Cafe.
Thank you Kevin, you have a splendid house!
My family and I were counting down the sleeps until our holiday in Ty Capel Beaumaris and it was worth the wait.
My children were very excited to sleep in twin beds and help build the real log fire after a day exploring.
The house has been the perfect base to relax and recover after a day walking in the stunning Snowdonia mountain ranges or vast stretches of Newborough beach.
We were within a short drive from the best walks and had dry weather to get to explore the devils kitchen and the Miners pass to name a few.
The stand alone Traditional Bath tub was a much needed time out and chill. Even the shower fans were wanting a bath!
The beds were very comfortable and cooking family meals for 7 people was easy in the fully equipped kitchen. It’s the little things that make Ty Capel Home from home, it had everything we needed to hand. Small details like cosy huge towels, pretty scent in the room and soft blankets on the beds. Great thought has been given to make the stay pleasurable.
Having a bedroom down stairs with a tv was really helpful for my teenage son who craved some time out away from his younger siblings. No arguments means happy children, happy Mum. That’s worth it’s weight in gold.
The house was situated in the Beautiful Beaumaris, it truly lives up to its name. Perfectly located within minutes from a range of small shops with a wide range of gifts. The bakery at the end of the road was definitely worth visiting. The town has plenty of places to eat out. The Indian restaurant was very good. My husband said the Tikka Lamb was the best he had ever had! The castle had a great medieval display inside over Easter and the child got to dress as knights and learn about how they lived back then. There were also opportunity to fly owls which was fantastic. The Gaol had an Easter egg hunt which encouraged the children to explore (we haven’t shown them the most haunted programme luckily).
Ty Capel has been a pleasure to stay in, we can’t wait to return next year but next time we need longer than a week because there is so much to do and we need rest days too! Thanks for having us x
Very reasonable priced cosy home. Well kitted out with everything you need. Hot water for everyone.
Not great if you struggle with steps as it has three floors and the stairs are steep. Parking on the road is a bit tight but we managed to get a space.
Location in Beaumaris is perfect. Very central with handy pubs and restaurants around the corner. House is obviously of age and has many original features. Has a very toasty warm and functional log burner.
Apparently it's a dog friendly rental but you wouldn't have known if any dogs had been at the property.
The owner of the house, Kevin, was very helpful and was available via the phone or email on the run up to the stay and was able to answer any questions we had about check-in and out times. Was even able to allow some flexibility in the check in time as we were arriving early.
The kitchen was well equipped and the beds, linen and bath towels immaculate.
We all had a great stay and would definitely stay again.
Location excellent, plenty of room, great bathroom with plenty of hot water, clean and comfy beds . All linen, duvets and pillows were in excellent condition. No problems parking outside, all shops/pubs within walking distance, kitchen has everything you would need. Many things to do from this location - walking, ancient sites, magnificent garden (Plas Cadnant), delightful castle, boating, pubs. We had a great week and would love to return.
Only one point to raise - if you are not good on stairs you will need to check with the owner.
