Excellent cabin, well thought out setup. Perfect location, peaceful with great views of the ocean and the great Orme. loverly and very welcoming hosts. Diolch yn fawr!
Owners Nan and John have created a nature lover's woodland retreat set in this beautiful corner of Anglesey. A 10 minute drive (or 45 min walk through woods via golf course) to the picturesque seaside town of Beaumaris, this was the perfect base for our week in Anglesey.
The cabin (aka big kid's tree house) was very clean, wonderfully cosy and well equipped for our stay. Nan and John ensured we had everything we needed and then gave us the space and privacy to enjoy our own little woodland for the week. Our 2 young boys loved exploring, finding wildlife, building dens and being the first to try out the new tree swing by the meadow. All the little touches show the love that Nan and John have put into creating this special place.
Thank you both again for looking after us so well and for the Weather'nan' forecasts that helped us get the most from our days. We loved every minute!
Love from Corrina, Ben and the boys
We spent three nights at this beautiful cabin in Angelsey. Nan & John have done an amazing job in creating setting of the cabin in a secluded wood. They are brilliant hosts and are always happy to help with anything you may ask. The cabin allows you to remember what is important "talking" & special time with your family. We would definitely recommend a visit - photographs do not do it justice. To embrace this experience and seeing red squirrels feeding everyday with all the fantastic wildlife. Don't just think about it - "book it" We will definitely be back visiting as there is so much more to explore on the island plus on your cabin doorstep. Thanks again Nan & John see you soon Tony & Sam

We booked Squirrel's Nest for our anniversary and from the moment we arrived we knew we had made a great choice. Nan and John were very friendly and helpful, and as others have said, they have thought of everything! The cabin is equipped with everything you need and is beautifully constructed with amazing views.
The weather while we were there was a mixed bag, but it was still lovely to sit out on the veranda with a nice hot cup of tea, and it didn't stop us having a barbecue. There is lots to do in the local area, with beautiful walks and beaches as well as plenty of historic sites such as Beaumaris Castle. There are walks right on the doorstep into beautiful forest, which then leads into Beaumaris. Nan and John provided directions to places of interest in the local area, which was really handy.
If you are a wildlife lover you won't be disappointed; there is plenty of bird life, red squirrels and bats as you look out of the cabin window. Simply wonderful!
We would thoroughly recommend staying here and wouldn't hesitate to book again.
