We spent three nights at this small, clean and comfortable hotel and met up for 2 nights with friends who also stayed at the hotel. Some how there had been a screw up on our booking through booking.com and instead of 2 persons in the room they had recorded only one hence this small attic room which was most uncomfortable for two individual both six feet tall. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked and we were extremely envious of our friends who had a lovely large room. The manager and staff were extremely cooperative to our issues and attempted to make our stay as pleasant as possible and it was apart from the size and restricted headroom of our room. We enjoyed dinner there on two nights as well breakfast daily and found the food to be excellent with most attentive service. The filet steak in a peppercorn sauce was cooked to perfection. The wild boar and rum pate was also a big hit with the four of us. A very friendly atmosphere with both staff and other guests. Ww would definitely stay there again albeit in a larger room with a four poster bed.

Room Tip: Ensure you don't book an attic room

A small clean and friendly abode on the main street. The MIL stayed here for a few nights and liked it. She was in the attic room which has lots of charm and sea view but restricted head room towards the window area due to the slope of the roof but she managed ok.
They allow dogs everywhere but for the lounge and restaurant. We ate in the cosy front bar area. The food was good and tasty at reasonable cost. I had a minute steak with real chips (v good), Mrs P had pork in a brandy n cream source (excellent) and the MIL had chicken in a garlic source (great).
We didn't have the cooked breakfast but I should imagine that it will be up to expectations. The continental version is fine.

I cannot fault this place. Stayed in a room with a four poster bed. Lots of extras including complementary sherry and very comfortable nights sleep. Made to feel very welcome. Good breakfast to start the day.

Stayed here Friday 8th September 2017, for one night.
Room was large, with a four poster double bed.
The Hotel is opulent, with plenty of character.
The Sherry and Chocolate in the room was a really nice touch!
Friendly, pleasant and helpful staff.
The Breakfast was tremendous!
Sani-Flow Toilet flush was noisy, but not a problem.
We would stay here again and would recommend to friends.

Service, food and location were lovely. Thought it was a little expensive until I realised that we had extra dishes...peanuts and olives, mushroom soup with a pretzel roll and a rosmary focacia, egg custard with a crouton and a cheese ball, panacotta. I have never tasted such a nice panacota. 4 of us went which if 3 don't like panacotta and they all really enjoye it. Drinks very reasonable so bill was reasonable especially with all the courses. The sort of place that you can order anything and you'll really enjoy it. Can't praise enough. First time to come and definitely not the last! Wished I could have stayed here rather than go home as it looked so lovely.
