This chain varies considerably in standard and this is certainly at the top end, clean, good service, helpful staff, well cooked food, extra cheap specials on, and a good selection of well kept beer, none of the "coming soon" or just gone off which feature in many of their outlets. Visited 3 X when staying in the area and it was consistently good.

We went on a Sunday at the start of the Easter holiday season and it was easy enough to find a table for 4. We ordered Burgers, and the vegetarian chilli and it was all properly cooked and well presented, the quality was of the meals were fine, this isn't gastropub food but is cheap, of decent quality and portions are a decent size without being over filling.

Service was quick and the staff were pleasant, the pub itself is pleasant and airy but not one of Wetherspoon's bigger establishments. 4 meals with drinks came to £28, not bad value at all.

This is the second time we've eaten here and we will be returning next time we are in the area.

Arrived as a family, 6 adults, 1 dog, 1 new born baby in pram! Tried to find a table as it was busy and found a table by the disabled toilet, we were told to move as the pram was in the way! No help whatsoever in assisting us with a table. We found a table that we thought was ok and told to move yet again! Mother of new born baby was brought to tears with attitude from staff. Other customers were more helpful than staff in trying to help! Never again we will visit this establishment! If you are single and wish to get drunk then this is the place for you as there were many of these people! Family's stay well clear!!
