I must admit the MG in the photo caught our attention, but I am very glad it did.
Treetops/Pen-y-Coed is a lovely property in a lovely location, just in from the coast a couple of miles south of Harlech towards Barmouth, very convenient for exploring Snowdonia, Lleyn or further south towards Aberystwyth. Even better is that Morfa Harlech is pretty much on the doorstep.
The cottage itself is very comfortable and nicely equipped, lacking nothing we needed. Martin showed us round and explained everything which might need explaining.
What else can I say: lovely cottage, lovely location, with added squirrels, woodpeckers and bats.
We would definitely come again if holidaying in the area.
We had a great week staying at Treetop Cottage. Everything and more was in the cottage and we had a warm welcome from Martin when we arrived. Location is great for exploring the area, even without the car. A short walk in to the village, or to the coast or to the train station or in to the hills. Even a great location for cycling. We would recommend this place and hope to come back sometime soon.
We have had a truly perfect stay. Tree Tops is everything described in other reviews. Everything is to an exceptionally high standard- first class!Martin was especially helpful upon arrival and even had coffee and cake and milk available for us. Perfectly quiet but close to attractions and amenities, pub is a short stroll away and a touch is provided for later walks back down a quiet country lane. We were fortunate with weather and glorious sunsets.
Martin thank you again for a worderful stay- we are sure to be back again.

This review is a little delayed but I wanted to make sure I wrote about our lovely stay here. We booked a week away here for our 3rd anniversary and Tree Tops was everything we had hoped for in a little holiday cottage. Martin and Lynn made us feel very welcome and on arrival Martin greeted us and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The views were fantastic and we loved sitting outside watching the birds and the squirrel. When returning from a walk or day out the cottage was always warm and cosy. It was immaculatly clean with lovely decor (the recliner sofa was fantastic as we had tired legs after lots of walking) We enjoyed cooking a few times in the well equipped kitchen. Throughout our stay we also enjoyed the dvds/maps/games/books provided.
Just one thing to mention, this is a small cosy cottage with steep stairs but my husband was 6ft 5 and had no problems. The bed was a good sized double and the shower had ample space and head space.
We stayed here for 2 Nights in November and really found it a great place to stay. We had a proper tour of the house and we were given lots of extra information on how everything worked. The whole place was really clean and tidy and we were at home straight away. In the house you have all the essentials you need to be self sufficient, just a trip to the shop for supplies is required. The location is excellent, on the side of a leafy hill you are not near any noise or traffic. From the balcony you can see the birds feeding in front of the house and on to the sea where we enjoyed some fantastic sun sets. From the house you are are 30-60 minutes from a huge range of sight seeing options so there is a lot to keep you busy. The house is also in 15 minutes walking distance to the village for locals pubs and food.
