“Beautiful Tranquiility”
Reviewed 30 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

This cottage is very spacious, is set in a delightful rural area and is very well equipped, from the large kitchen to the equally large lounge with wood-burning stove. There is a great deal of space for parking, the garden would be lovely on a sunny day when it is warm and there are photographic opportunities in almost every direction. We walked a fair way from the cottage, but there are some gorgeous places to walk or cycle in the area. We will definitely return.

“A beautiful cottage”
Reviewed 6 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Berthlwyd is a beautiful cottage. It's in immaculate condition, and is decorated and furnished with style. It's deceptively spacious, is well equipped, has wonderful views, and is perfect for a relaxing holiday. It's great to recover by the log burner on the comfy settees, after enjoying one of the many local walks. Margaret, the host, is extremely kind and helpful. It's definitely a cottage to return to!

“Perfect”
Reviewed 26 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We have just got back from a wonderful 4 night stay here. It was absolutely perfect in every way. The cottage is in a beautiful location and you have nothing but fields and sheep as your neighbours. The cottage is very spacious, cosy and very well equipped. Only thing you need is your clothes and food for your stay. The garden is secure which is brilliant for children no worrying if they can escape our 3 year old loved it. Lovely little village just a short walk away and lots of little lanes for daily strolls. We will definitely be retuning. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

“Relaxing week in Wales.”
Reviewed 26 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Beautiful house. Amazing views of Cader Idris can be seen from the window. It's a really tranquil spot but only 5 mins from Dolgellau. We found the cottage clean and recently furnished/decorated. There are plenty of interesting places to visit in the local area. We really enjoyed our stay. 5 stars.

A fantastic holiday cottage, beautifully appointed and located. Lovely safe garden for the kids to rant about in with no fear of disturbing the neighbours! Located within walking distance or a short car journey of Dolgellau. We picked up a local walking guide to help us select some suitable walks for our 3 and 7 year olds. Panorama walk and bike ride down the estuary both worth doing. Barmouth beach only 20 mins away by car.

Liked best: Surroundings and cottage layout, decor and facilities.
Liked least: Really creaky double bed, but we told the owner and she was going to get it fixed!
