“The view made it worthwhile”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

The key had to be collected from another place a couple of miles away, and returned there on leaving. The cottage is very basic. Small fridge with ice box. The ice box was full of water as the fridge was switched off at the wall. The water was smelly and had to be cleaned out. Coin operated electric. We put in £4 and there was plenty left on the meter when we departed. The shower is electric so we did not turn on the water tank, we boiled the kettle for washing up. We did not use the wardrobes as they smelt very fusty. We had the windows open the whole time as the whole place took on a fusty smell if we closed them.
The video player didnt work on the 14" tv/video combi and the freeview box kept freezing. If you like tv it would be quite annoyinv.
The view from the patio is lovely, and it felt very private. We took the walk to criccieth which was enjoyable.
We were grateful for the previous teview and took our own sharp knife, tin opener, bed sheets and extra towel for bath mat. There are some kitchen bits there but mostly old or a bit broken.
The sofa bed is one of the foam fold out types but we took an airbed to put on top of it.
The lounge, kitchen and dining room is all open plan so feels nice and spacious. The bedroom and bathroom are as big as they need be.
We only used the hob on the electric oven. There is also a microwave and toaster.
We really enjoyed sitting out and enjoying the view.

“Great little place for the money”
Reviewed 9 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

This is a good little place to stay if you intend to be out a lot. It is very basic, no frills and does unfortunately smell of damp with no heating on but for the money it is great. There is a raised 'patio' area (small) with a bench on so you can see down to the sea, which is lovely for breakfasts and evening meals. The bed is very comfy, but do bring your own bedding. The bedroom is tiny but adequate. Bathroom has been decorated and is simple but fine (bring an extra towel for the floor as there is no mat).

The kitchen is basic but fine...bring your own knives, tin opener and anything very important cutlery wise as other than eating knives and forks there is little useful in terms of cooking implements.

Main problem was not being able to get towels dry so I would suggest you bring something to hang stuff outside...there are wall heaters but you can't put stuff on them or near enough to be effective to dry things even if you put the heaters on.

As a rough guide we used about £4 in electricity in a week and that's with having the boiler on for washing up, cooking a couple of times, fridge on all the time, lights, showers and heaters on a couple of times.
