First visit, after 18 months of wanting to visit. I wasn't disappointed....lovely coffee, great food, perfect setting and was worth the walk from Abersoch Harbour. The staff were lovely, although very busy they all had enough time to make us feel welcome. We will be back and it will be sooner than 18 months!!!

We had to queue at the till to make our order (approx 10 mins). When we ordered nobody mentioned that there would be a long wait for food. After waiting for 30mins and not getting any food, I went to ask about it. I was told there were still 4 more orders before mine and it should be another 10 minutes. Eventually after 40 minutes we got our burgers. Adding together the time standing in the queue to order, that makes 50 minutes of waiting.
The place was very busy and I could only see 4 members of staff. All staff looked to be aged between 18 and 20. The young staff were clearly working very hard and were very polite but I felt that there was too much work to be done by so few people.

Our apologies you had to wait for your food. Delivering a quality product is of paramount importantance to us and as such we do not hot hold food. Unfortunately during peak times this means there may be a wait for your freshly cooked food and we regret you were not informed of this at the time of ordering.
The younger team members you saw are front of House serving assistants however please be assured our ‘behind the scenes’ Chefs and Shift Supervisors are older and experienced in the catering and hospitality industry.
Trip Advisor reviews are incredibly important to us and we regret your wait compelled you to rate us so low. We do hope however that you enjoyed your meal and were able to enjoy the stunning views from the terrace.
We sincerely hope this will not stop you from visiting us again and perhaps reviewing your rating on a further more positive experience in the future.

Lovely cafe to have a rewarding coffee after a walk along the beech. Not licensed, except for special events in the summer - the only thing that would make it better in my opinion - but could of course been seen as a positive. Recommend. Friendly staff and lovely view!

Thank you for your kind review. We really appreciate you walking over to visit us and are thrilled you enjoyed the view as much as we do.
It’s always been a tricky decision re applying for a premises licence hence our ‘halfway house’ for events.
We hope to see you again soon.

Perched at the end of Abersoch beach, Mikey’s is the perfect place for refreshment before turning around and walking the sea air walk back up the beach.

Always popular, expect a small wait at peak times. Staff super friendly. Make a great coffee and have an array of delightful ice cream to choose from!

Lovely coffee - pity had to stand and wait 20 minutes after ordering. An apology from the waiting staff would have made all the difference!!

We are so sorry to hear this. All our food and drinks are freshly made to order, so occasionally there can be a wait during peak times if there are a lot of tickets on the rail.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in service and we regret we failed to convey this to you at the time and can only put this down to extreme pressure of service during a very busy bank holiday weekend.
Our team are a very friendly bunch, keen to ensure you have a positive customer experience and will be upset to read of your disappointment.
We very much hope this will not deter you from visiting us in the future.
