The Sea View in Harlech was lovely. The house had everything we needed and what a stunning view you got from the lounge window and some of the bedrooms I could have sat and drank in that view all day. Harlech is a lovely village with really friendly people and a great base for visiting north wales. It has a great beach with just a short walk to it going back up can be a bit of a hike towards the end but well worth it and the castle is well worth a visit. Thank you we had an amazing holiday.
The house was perfectly sized for the 9 adults in our party. The living room is spacious, dining room table large enough to fit us all, kitchen is well sized and well equipped to cook for us all, and the bedrooms are all well sized the plenty of cupboard space. There are 2 bathrooms, each with bath and shower.
It is short walk from the beach and in the middle of town, so people could come and go as they pleased, we did not have to stay together throughout the holiday. The views from the house are incredible, of the sea, castle and mountains. Walking around Harlech also gives amazing views. It is around half hour drive to Snowdon and Snowdonia.
The caretaker was around and in contact if we needed him, which we didn't.
There are things around Harlech that we didn't know about until it was too late, make sure you check the cinema, the leisure centre, whats happening in the castle and there is a hall a couple of doors away that held a live band on the Friday night.
Car parking and driving around isn't great as Halrech isn't built for cars. If you are out throughout the day in cars then there is good roadside parking on the same street that is free 4pm-11am. There is a carpark that is £7.50 a day but the machine was broken for the entire holiday so we were not charged.
We would love to come back again.
Ideal for our party of 10 adults, with 5 bedrooms (we didn't want a place with a sofa bed in the living room). Kitchen was well equipped with plenty of cookware and crockery, and a dishwasher, which was very important when washing up for 10! The house was very cosy -felt like we were staying in someone's house, not just a holiday let. Lovely views of Harlech and the castle, which is lit up at night. Parking limited to 1 hour between 9am and 6pm outside, but we managed to find free parking down the road, if you don't mind a short walk. Not much seating in the small garden area, but we didn't need it for this trip. Would stay there again.
