A group of 12 friends arrived here on a wet Saturday evening to be welcomed most warmly. We ordered a selection of their main courses and asked for them to make up a selection of their starters for us. The plates of delicious starters kept on coming. Although there was a small delay between the different main courses arriving this was quite acceptable as there were so many of us.
We had a most enjoyable evening and the couple (an Italian chef and his Filipino wife) made sure we were happy with everything.
We would definitely recommend the Blue Bell.

This is a traditional local with a twist as its menu is Italian. The chef is 1st generation Italian and we had excellent spaghetti bolognese. It was a nice surprise to be in a restaurant in Wales where nothing on the menu was fried.

We stopped here on the way home as the eldest wanted spag bol and we happened to park right outside. The lady serving was really friendly, she welcomed us and put tv on for our rather over-tired kids.
The menu offered plenty of choice and we ordered happily. There food was a little disjointed arriving and our drinks were delayed but the kids were zombified with the big screen so no issues there.
The food was lovely, portions were generous and we had over ordered a little bit but we left feeling we had got a lot for our money.
There is a small outdoor play area and the toilets were spotless

The stand out was the lady serving, she was lovely but also so thoughtful, she put 3 wafers in the ice-cream sundae so each kid could have one. Little things like that mean a great deal to a parent of 3 exhausted kids.
I recommend going here for families . The prices are very reasonable and the Sunday lunch offer is excellent. We will definitely be returning because a pub where you feel welcome with the kids is a rare treat
Only minor negative was they don't take cards but there is a cashpoint across the road

Stopped off here for Sunday lunch while driving back from west wales. Good atmosphere, very pleasant friendly staff and the food was excellent and plentiful. What more could you want. We will certainly be visiting the Blue Bell again.
