“Lovely well-equipped cottage”
Reviewed 17 April 2017 for a stay in March 2017

A great cottage which is homely and very well equipped (I always take an emergency bag for cottages as usually something missing but didn't use at all!). Welcoming owners and lovely welsh cakes on arrival too. A good base for walking in West Brecon Beacons - we did a great walk up to highest point of Black Mountain (Fan Brycheiniog) via Llyn y Fan Fach and Lyn y Fan Fawr. We walked to nearby village and had a good value meal at Sexton Arms. Hope to return and do some sections of Beacons Way!

Thank you very much indeed Liz for writing such a brilliant review. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay. It was great meeting you and Iain and hearing at the end of each day how you'd spent your time ... so energetically and enjoyably walking in the Brecon Beacons. You even had the energy left to walk up to the Sexton Arms to enjoy their hospitality. It really is lovely to know that you hope to return as we'd love to welcome you both back here anytime. Thank you again.

We have just returned from staying at Lletty Cottage and can only agree with all other reviewers. Marianne and Jim have made the holiday cottage so comfortable with more than could be expected. Their welcome was warm and genuine. They have created a peaceful haven for their guests and the cottage is situated in the perfect spot to explore the magnificent surroundings. Thank you Marianne and Jim for making our stay so enjoyable. We will be back without ba doubt.

Many thanks indeed for your wonderful review. It gives us great pleasure to know that you both enjoyed your holiday in the cottage and in this beautiful area. Even though the weather was somewhat disappointing you were out and about exploring everywhere! It was lovely getting to know you and we really look forward to welcoming you back here in the future after you have visited Chicago! Thank you again for taking the time to write a review- it is greatly appreciated.

We had a wonderful stay at Lletty Cottage which is situated in such a beautiful part of the country. The cottage is very comfortable and thoughtfully well equipt and our hosts, Marianne and Jim were most helpful and welcoming. Marianne's bird friendly garden is a particular delight as were the home made welsh cakes we enjoyed on our arrival, many thanks.

Lletty Cottage is a true delight, as are Marianne and Jim! The cottage is pretty, well appointed and surrounded by gorgeous gardens and countryside. The owners have bent over backwards to ensure the cottage contains everything you could possibly need for your stay and even included a few welcome extra surprises, such as home baked welsh cakes, a bottle of wine and chocolate biscuits! In addition to these lovely extras, Marianne and Jim were a fountain of local information and advice. Truth be told it would have been quite easy to stay in the little private courtyard to the rear of the cottage and sun ourselves whilst watching the birds feeding. had it not been for the many, many local attractions available. We spent a busy week visiting (amongst other places) The National Botanic Garden of Wales, Aberglasney Gardens the National Showcaves Centre of Wales, waterfalls, Red Kite feeding, Broad Haven and Little Haven and many other beautiful areas. Upon our departure we were presented with a little welsh recipe book . A simply lovely stay - thank you Marianne and Jim for making it so. We hope to return one day.

“A truly wonderful country cottage”
Reviewed 21 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We booked five nights here and could easily have stayed longer, if we hadn't had other commitments. Marianne and Jim greeted us warmly on arrival and we were made to feel immediately at home. They explained everything clearly; there was also a very comprehensive folder containing information on all the appliances in the cottage. There was a bottle of red wine waiting, along with some freshly baked welsh cakes and fresh flowers from the garden. The cottage is extremely well equipped and there was nothing we wanted for. There was a large selection of local maps and up to date brochures on local attractions.
It is located in a lovely garden setting with access to the garden and duck pond. We loved watching the birds feed, along with several squirrels helping themselves to the bird feed also. The cottage is well located to explore Aberglasny Gardens and the National Botanic Gardens of Wales, as well as Brecon Beacons and South West Wales. It would also be a great base for walkers.
We arrived as strangers, but left as friends. Thank you Marianne and Jim.
