Every review I read about Talbot Heirs was glowing, and I can only add to the Talbot Heirs Fan Club. It was the perfect place for us. Just two blocks from Beale St., across the street from the Peabody, a great location. But, more than that, our one bedroom suite had everything we needed for our 5 night stay, and more. Beautifully furnished, they have thought of your every need. There is not one thing they could have done better, we loved it, and our yearly visits to Memphis will find us from now on at the Talbot Heirs. Thank you, too, to our wonderful hosts, who could not have been nicer or more helpful. This is a very special place and we never wanted to leave...many thanks for making our trip extra special!

We stayed here for the final 4 days of our honeymoon, the location is within walking distance of Beale Street and is surrounded by really good eating places. It is a small family run guesthouse, immaculately clean with all the facilities of home, fresh coffee, orange juice, water and cereals were provided every day together with clean towels. We were able to also use the washing and drying facilities free of charge. I could not recommend this guest house highly enough, the owners were friendly, helpful and made us feel like home.

A friend and I traveled from Chicago area for "Spring Break". Every room in the guesthouse is decorated in a different style-funky to elegant. One room had a baby grand piano. The location is perfect-3 blocks from Beale St. and across the street from the Peabody where the famous "duck walk" takes place. I would definitely go back. Check out their website for sure!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend stay at Talbot Heirs. Tom and Sandy are great hosts! You'll feel like a local when you stay here, or that a friend has let you borrow his/her cool place in the city. Tucked in on the 2nd floor of a building two blocks from Beale St. and across from the Peabody, the location is perfect and easy walking distance from many of the main attractions in Memphis. All of the accomodations are studios or 1-bedroom apartments, so you have lots of room to stretch out. Ours even came with a grand piano (my only regret of the weekend was that neither of us could play!). Funky artwork, nice decor, and a kitchen stocked with drinks, snacks, and breakfast items added to the comfort and convenience. Tom and Sandy are standing by with insider tips on things to see and places to eat. For prices comparable to a chain hotel, you get so much more! Light sleepers may hear noise from the street, especially on weekends, but strategically placed fans and white noise machines in our apartment pretty much drowned it out. We will definitely go back next time we're in Memphis.

Can't say enough about this B & B! If you want to feel the flavor of Beale without the noise and still have the privacy and ambiance, you can't go wrong here! Tom and Sandy were super hosts that knew so much about the restaurants, the area, and what was going on during the week. They helped us map out our 3 nights so we got to see as much as possible. Then, when we were completely worn out, we just had a very short walk to put our feet up. We stayed in number 8. It was beautiful, big, with it's own kitchen, in case we were too tired to go out. The refrigerator was stocked with water, juice, and breakfast snacks. Tom and Sandy didn't serve breakfast, but with everything in the frig. that was no problem......we needed sleep later anyway. While there, I got a look at the other rooms, every one of which was unique. I liked number 2 so much. If I go back, I'm going for that one. It's got a beautiful window overlooking a street so you can people watch. It also has a historic grand piano, which I was itching to play.
Hope you love it as much as we did.
