“Don't Pass This up!”
Reviewed 29 December 2015 for a stay in September 2015

My daughter-in-law & I stayed here for two nights and wished it could have been a week! Wonderful family, very helpful; real pleasure to stay here. Very cosy, even had one of the family cats come to visit us! We will definitely be going back there on our next trip to Scotland in 2016!

“Glorious Venue for Family or Couple Get Away”
Reviewed 6 November 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Stayed with two young children who had the time of their lives. Great family friendly venue, but would also be lovely secluded break for couples. Excellent hosts who have thought of everything. Thoroughly recommend.

“"Home away from home."”
Reviewed 11 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

If you are on holiday in another country and you find a place that feels like “home away from home” you will want to go back there. So I did just that. I spent a week in the ”Gardeners lodge” in the beginning of May this year and when I decided to go back to Scotland in September, I of course chose the same place to stay. This time for two weeks. It’s a very charming place, with everything you need and want inside. Lots of books and brochures of Scotland, a very comfortable bed (that I wouldn’t mind to have at home) and everything you need in the kitchen. Kath and Eric will help you with everything you need and the children are charming. In one sentence-Perfec

“Full of Character”
Reviewed 13 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This a lovely self contained annexe to the owners main property.

It is very old world with loads of character and charm.

The owners were friendly and welcoming without being intrusive and had baked a lovely chocolate cake for our arrival.

The kitchen is well supplied and has just about everything you should need if you don't want to go out to eat.

We would certainly return here again should we be in the Borders area.

“An exceptional experience.”
Reviewed 23 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The cottage is superbly presented, and a very friendly place to stay. There was a home made cake and fresh flowers in all the rooms when we arrived. The kitchen is well equipped with a range of utensils to make cooking a meal very easy. The beds are comfortable with quality linen.
There's a big library of books, maps and tourist information which was helpful in planning trips throughout the borders.
We'd have no hesitation in booking in again. Thanks Kath and Eric.
