“Peaceful, Stunning, Comfortable - Superb”
Reviewed 11 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The cottage was all it was described to be. Comfortable in a stunning location. The fact that there was no WiFi and no television meant we could tell the world to go away whilst we were there. The weather wasn't the best but there were things to do each day. The wildlife was brilliant as well. Apart from the normal garden birds (coal tit, great tit, blue tit, chaffinch, robin) we had a regular visit from a jay and a single visit from a red squirrel. Out on the loch we saw gannets fishing as well as gooseander, eider, oyster catcher and grey herring. We had a very peaceful week and have come back fully recharged. Thanks for a superb holiday.

“Amazing”
Reviewed 5 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Absolutely loved this little gem of a place. No wifi, no t.v, wasn't quite sure how two 17yr olds were going to get on but they loved it. Plenty of walks and quality family time. Took the dog who thought he was in heaven, 3 days of bliss. Spotlessly clean, had everything we needed.
Thank you!!

“Fantastic - amazing views”

We had an amazing 3 days here. The cabin is basic inside, but it has everything you need. The thing that makes the cabin special is the amazing location and views. There's a seal colony that roams around right in front of the cabin and when we walked along the shore, they followed us. There's also a great wee waterfall behind the cabin ( down the road over the bridge, then turn right up into the forrest ). We also watched a submarine go past one day which was pretty surreal.

The only thing that we were disappointed with was that there were no binoculars to use. However, we'll bring our own next time we stay.

Many thanks for posting your review. The 'resident' binoculars seem to have walked... The owner has confirmed they will arrange for a new set to be put in the property. If you have your own binoculars, or can borrow some, always best to bring them with you - you'll not regret it. Leonard at Lochgoilhead Holidays

Just delightful. An amazing panoramic view from the huge windows right onto Lochgoil. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the views. I stayed during horrendous weather - it was a lovely feeling to be safe and warm and watch the weather blow up the loch. Having no tv and wi-if was just sublime. The lack of street lights and intense silence at nights was magical.
I'm almost sorry to recommend it so highly as I'd like to go back again and again....I'm not sure I want too many other people to discover its secret.
The cabin is extremely well appointed - comfy beds with electric blankets; a new and well appointed kitchen; cosy bathroom; a lovely log burner with plenty of chopped wood - and 2 arm chairs facing the loch!!
It's just 2 miles or so down the loch from Drumsynie - which has good leisure facilities ( a cracking pool which I swam in every morning...£12 for a weekly ticket).
Great garden for dogs.
Can't recommend it more highly.

Such an amazing place, lovely cosy little chalet and a fantastic setting, some of the best views I have ever seen. The chalet had everything you need inside it, very clean and homely.

Would recommend to anyone

We'll certainly be going again
