What a wonderful place to stay! Neat and clean with all the comforts of home. Great food at the pub next door, splendid walking trails nearby. The morning views of the Loch and mountains behind are breathtaking. We really enjoyed this vacation, we’ll be back again!
Stayed for 3 nights in this perfectly located cottage . Fantastic views , best location for so many walking trails , watching all the activity on the loch and a sun trap !! Clean , comfy, homely , parking af door . Only down side is no washing machine ... yes there’s a laundrette at holiday park but not convenient if you are out in all weathers like us and who wants to waste time doing that on holiday !! I would love to spend a whole week there as so many walks in the area but will just need to load up on xtra clothes !
Arrived on the Monday till Friday with my Mum, Dad and daughter. The cottage is lovely inside, very clean and warm and has everything you need. Great to wake up in the morning to the amazing view of the loch and hills. Plenty of walks to go on. There is a small shop/post office just nxt to the cottage that stocks a variety of items. Drimsynie is a short walk away with plenty to do for kids inside the play centre. There is a costcutter and laundrette a 2 minute walk from there. We had dinner in one of the restaurants and the food was amazing, staff were lovely also. Would definitely recommend this lovely cottage and hope to be back again one day.
Perfect location with a view across the loch - what more could you ask for other than the pub next door. Great to have a pet friendly option that you didn't have to worry about and absolutely everything is catered for - well equipped cottage - very comfortable and just what is needed for a break away.
Will be back.
Firstly I booked this mini break for my dad who was joined by his wife and his faithful 4 legged friend. Have spoken to my dad for his opinion/thoughts before writing this review.
Firstly the location is STUNNING. The weather was not kind to them during their stay but this is not something that can be controlled and Dad and co enjoyed just relaxing around the cottage and taking long walks in beautiful scenery with the dog whenever the weather allowed. Beware of the midges!! they were certainly out in force in the evening and tend to find a nice juicy piece of skin to lunch upon!! The cottage was comfortable quiet and spotlessly clean with everything you could need to make your stay as easy and hassle free as possible.
Dad did say his only negative point was that he found the double bed to be hard and the bedding was not a duvet but a very heavy cover which he found hard to describe nor could he pinpoint what is what other than it was not a nice warm duvet which folds itself around you. Again this is down to preference but said I would mention.
The Inn next door (literally a few steps away ) served good wholesome food. The staff were warm and welcoming the service quick and polite. The little shop within the site was crammed with just about everything you could possibly require along with a post office. Also stock midgey spray ;)
Overall a lovely stay was had by all in a well equipped clean and comfortable home with easy check in and out procedures and the owner responded quickly to my initial enquiries. Would certainly recommend to anyone wanting some piece and quiet in a beautiful Scottish location.
