We have just had the most amazing holiday at Pine Cottage. The location is superb, everyone will find something interesting there. Kids can run around and cycle safely as there is lots of off road paths (disused railway track). Serious mountain cyclists can find exciting routes. Walkers of all abilities will be spoilt by choice. Nature lovers will encounter all sorts of wildlife (and you can watch birds and rabbits through the window). The surroundings are stunning and it seems you have it all for yourselves, so peaceful and quiet. And the cottage is the most welcoming, cosy place you can wish for. Everything you need is there, the wood burning stove is a treat, beds are really comfy. Even neighbours are friendly, well worth visiting the photography studio- beautiful artwork and you can even attend a photography workshop. And if you have a car you can explore the whole Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park (Loch Ard is perfect for family cycling) and beyond (Crannog on Loch Tay is great- you learn a lot about life in Iron Age). We wish we could stay at Pine Cottage for much longer!
We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year staying at Pine Cottage, lovely little welcome basket filled with treats on arrival was a lovely touch.
We were very lucky and had lots of snow, the cottage is so warm and cosy and has everything you need, the bed was so comfortable and the views from the windows are wonderful.
There are so many walks direct from the cottage and all have beautiful views, our two dogs loved it so much.
We would love to return as its such a beautiful area.
Love the place. Came on my own for a few days with the dogs before Hubby joined me for the last two nights. I didn't feel isolated/ uncomfortable on my own. Superb walks and lots of fresh air. Rained all week but I had the log burner all set ready to light when I got back so we all snuggled up and dried !!!!
Everything included and MORE in this beautiful cottage. Loved the welcome pack for myself and the dogs, thank you so much. Very clean, immaculate inside and well set up. My only complaint was that I had to go home !!!
Will definitely come back if they will have me.
Fantastic cottage in beautiful location, cottage was clean and comfortable and everything catered for that could possibly be needed, welcome pack was a lovely touch... Wildlife seen was fantastic, scatter peanuts on the lawn and the Jays were there within minutes, red squirrels kicking about the trees next to the drive way, red deer hindes were seen passing through the woodlands, tawny owls heard calling at night and buzzards soaring in the skies... We had to keep our dogs on leads due to the open gardens of pine cottage and surrounding cottages. Village of Killin is lovely, as is the walk there through the forest via the disused railway. Pine cottage is highly recommended as a base to explore the huge area of Loch Lomomnd and the Trossachs or just to chill out for a week, either way you won't be disappointed.
Beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings and a doggie paradise,Clean and warm and cosy, just the ticket for a peaceful relaxing holiday.
