“A great cottage to stay in - and it allows easy access to many good walks in the local mountains.”
Reviewed 12 October 2012 for a stay in October 2012

The cottage was away from the main road up a good drivable unmade road which meant it was beautifully peaceful. It was very comfortable, cosy and very well-appointed. There was everything necessary for cooking a good meal and eating it in pleasant surroundings where you could watch birds come to the feeders. If we were lucky we also saw a red squirrel which stole many of the peanuts.
We used the cottage as a base to allow us to climb many of the local hills; it was ideal for this as it is very near Ben Lawers and Ben More, for example.
Killin, the nearby small town, has several places to eat and a well stocked Co-op as well as a newsagents, outdoor shop, ironmongers, etc. So, you don't have to travel far if you don't want to.
The cottage was lovely and clean and we felt welcome. We slept like logs in the very comfortable beds.

“Pine cottage worked its magic on us !!”
Reviewed 27 June 2012 for a stay in October 2011

Spent a week here with my husband and three children aged 8, 7 and 2 and planning to return this year as we enjoyed it so much . Pine cottage was delightful , fully equipped with everything you would need and we really appreciated snuggling round the log burning fire in the evenings and slept like logs in the comfy beds ! The area is stunning and the cottage boasts beautiful views of the hills and the ever changing weather fronts . We saw deer walking past regularly which was a real treat for the children . Killin is a 40 min walk through forest track mainly or a 5 minute drive . Killin has some great bars , a well stocked co-op and a great little deli selling local homemade fare . The Killin Hotel was a favourite of ours to eat in and very child friendly which always helps ! Would thoroughly recommend this property to those looking for quality family time in a very comfortable cottage in a beautiful spot , you will not be disappointed !
