We stayed in the family room overlooking the falls of dochart. With 4 of us in the room it still felt spacious. The sound of the falls outside was a glorious way to wake up.

Love this place, great for breakfast, lunch and dinner, also has a lovely gift shop and farm produce shop, with fresh veg, meat and baked goods

Eaten here many a time, friendly staff, never had a poor meal here yet so can't really advise on what to eat as all meals have been lush, if you are in a larger crowd recommend the private room no extra charge but the owner has allowed us to use its own log fire comfy seating and eating area.

The Smiddy offers lovely, light, clean rooms overlooking the falls. A very relaxing place to stay with welcoming hosts. The addition of food available at their sister hotel just a short stroll down the road is great. Very relaxing.

Lunch with my parents. Good menu, more gastropub than pub. The fire and the ambience reminded me of what it must have been like days gone by. Good selection of Scottish beer and use of local ingredients. Polite and helpful staff who were hugely helpful after we left, had driven 30 minutes away and realised we had left a bag behind!!
