“Beautiful place to stay, well situated for visiting lots of places.”
Reviewed 4 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We were absolutely delighted with the cottage, the large rooms, the beautiful views and plenty of room for parking. The rooms were all large & airy, everything was spotless and we lacked for nothing. Jeanette gave us a warm welcome and the most delicious fruit cake both of which were very welcome after a 12 hour drive.
The cottage is ideal for day trips with lots to see and do in the area. We had a lovely week but could have easily filled two there were so many places to visit.

We celebrated Xmas and New Year in the cottage and thoroughly enjoyed the rural setting.

The cottage and its location were just perfect, far enough away from the madding crowd but close enough at the same time, Stirling and Glasgow being only a short thirty five minute drive away.

We found the cottage to be warm and welcoming and fitted-out with all the home comforts required for a relaxing stay in the country.

The kitchen is well appointed and the décor in all rooms was both fresh and relaxing, above all the cottage was extremely clean and well maintained.

We have nothing negative to say about the cottage and if we find ourselves in a similar situation this year then we shall without hesitation reserve the cottage for a December 2017 stay.

Even the neighbours were very neighbourly, that is the sheep grazing in the adjoining fields were well behaved albeit inquisitive.

Ten out of ten on every count.

Thank you very much for your kind review of our cottage and I glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. Jeanette works very hard to make the cottage perfect for guests. I am glad that you met our friendly neighbours!

We had a wonderful holiday at Templelea Farm Cottage. Everything about this property is fantastic. Spotlessly clean, beautiful furnishings, comfy beds and lovely bed linen, every kitchen utensil you could possibly need. The view from the lounge is stunning and the garden is well maintained.

The cottage is easy to find, it is positioned just as the site says. On arrival we were greeted and shown round by Jeanette. The cottage is perfect, it has everything you can think of in the kitchen, there is plenty of room round the dining table. In the lounge, plenty of room and loads of seating. The bedrooms are all large, airy and plenty of room for clothes. A very large bathroom with walk in shower as well as bath and another shower room. Everywhere is immaculately clean, plenty of clean towels. There a facilities for washing and there is also a dish washer if there are plenty of you. If I were asked I would definitely give this a five star rating. We used this as a base and travelled up and down Scotland, it was ideal.

“Spotless, Spacious, Excellent Location”

I would like to say it was like a home away from home - but our home is nowhere near as lovely and clean as Jeanette & Walter's :)
The cottage is a single floor large bungalow - great for the elderly and children as there is no worry of them tripping or falling down unfamiliar stairs. Large comfortable bedrooms - spotless sheets and high quality furnishings. Felt like a new home. Beautiful views all around. Very well equipped kitchen and utilities. Jeanette and Walter looked out for us during our whole stay - baking us scrumptious shortbread (the best I've ever tasted!), dropping off any extra items we might have needed.. Our child loved watching Walter work with the sheep - it's a working sheep farm which made it very interesting for us even when we stayed home. Excellent location for Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Highly recommended.

I am glad that you had a great experience staying at our holiday cottage. The views belong to the farm - well almost! Yes, the shortbread is popular with guests. The sheep are are an added attraction for guests. It is a great location for touring around the nearby countryside.
