We booked the accommodation at the last minute and so glad that we chose Fisherwood. From the warm welcome to the warm and quirky accommodation, which is on a lively position, we had nothing but good vibes about the place.
The perfect accommodation for anyone who is in Loch Lomond to do some active pursuits, with all you need in the cabin.

“Absolute Perfection”

My partner and I visited Balloch on Friday and stayed at Fisherwood Cottage from Friday through till Sunday and what can we say? Honestly perfection sums up how we feel about our entire stay. Michael kindly met us at the train station and the cottage is then literally a couple minute walk away and has a beautiful little stream running down the side.

The accommodation itself is extremely well kept and had everything we needed. A very clever use of space provided us a kitchen, bed and living space. Not to mention a fantastic deck with a lovely view of the river outside. Michael explained everything very clearly and left us with a guidebook to the cottage, food takeaway options and excellent ideas with how to use our time in an array of leaflets. Michael himself was always more than happy to assist us with any queries we had regarding places to go.

I'd also like to note that Michael and Nolwenn state that they won't keep coming and bothering you but simply will leave you to your own devices but I also add that any questions or help they can provide they are more than willing to do so. We never felt like we couldn't ask something and they assisted us a number of times with some of the walks we did and how to get to certain locations.

Overall, we are sad to have left Fisherwood cottage as we feel there was so much more we could have done and the cottage was like our perfect little base. I would highly recommend this place to anyone considering going to Balloch! You will not be disappointed everything is beautiful there. We certainly would love to come back sometime in the summer for a bit longer than a few days as there's so much more to do than we got to experience in the few days we were there.

Thank you again, Michael and Nolwenn!!

“Perfect!”
Reviewed 29 January 2018 for a stay in January 2018

We absolutely loved our stay at FISHERWOOD cottage.
Before arriving we were given excellent directions from Michael and Nolwenn. Upon arrival we were greeted by Nolwenn and she took us to the cottage and gave us some brilliant suggestions on things to do during our stay. All really helpful and definitely worth doing. The cottage itself was cosy, had everything we needed and was in a great location. All in all we loved our stay and will be back again!
