We were served by the lovely Karen who was one the most helpful and knowledgeable member of staff we spoke to. The food was absolutely delicious especially the chicken pakora (one of the best I have ever tasted and I’ve had a few). 1st class place to eat.

We visited on two nights during our stay and on both nights the food was very good. It was the service that varied between Saturday and Sunday evening.

Perhaps as Saturday evening is the busier, we were advised immediately on entering the lounge (with huge windows providing beautiful views across the loch to Ben Arthur, The Cobbler) that we could only sit there if we were eating. We then witnessed other potential diners being treated very ‘efficiently’ to put it kindly; at this time we felt that all that was required to calm the mood would be a simple ‘please wait to be seated’ sign by the door.

We ordered chicken pakora (asked about the portion size and were advised that sharing was a viable option). Very good indeed, lovely batter and a large portion - the only thing missing was an extra plate.

I then went on to enjoy the steak pie while my husband had the chicken enchilada, both very good. I also loved the cider, Orchard Pig.

In complete contrast, we went to the bar on Sunday evening in order to relax with a drink before eating. We were asked if we intended to eat and offered a free table in the lounge so that we could eat when ready. The vibe was completely different, very relaxed and welcoming, we’d definitely return for this atmosphere.

Again the food was excellent. We shared nachos, then I had the chicken enchilada while husband enjoyed the daily special, creamy pasta with chicken and chorizo.

A great wee place, just need to ensure the staff are supported to cope on the busy nights.

Visited with a walking club and wanted to return. Was on overnight stay in Arrochar to walk, first choice was Bothy, glass of Prosecco, view of hills and the Cobbler, dinner ordered and just sheer bliss !..fish and chips and Scampi ordered, huge portions and very tasty...all food coming out of kitchen looked great.i cannot think of a better place in this area to spend a few hours. Cannot wait to return. Staff and service great. Top marks.

Stopped here after a nice and long walk. The venue is quite nice and clean.

Good choice of beer and good portion food as well.. we had a quick snack and a pint.

Would recommend for a quick lunch and pint :)
