“Beautiful house in stunning surroundings.”
Reviewed 15 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

House was a little tricky to find (though it was dark and very, very wet - lovely Scottish weather and we didn't have the owners excellent instructions to hand) However we were met at the gate by the owners themselves and guided up the drive. Very helpful. The house itself is large, spotless and has been furnished to a very high standard. Quality, materials, cookware, bedding, towels etc are used throughout. It is modern, yet retains all of the charming character of an old Scottish Farmhouse. The bedrooms are large, comfortable and accessible (with two bedrooms on the ground floor) The facilities - bathrooms/games room/utility room/log burners/wifi/TV etc, are all great!

The house itself is located in stunning surroundings, set up on a slight hill, overlooking Loch Ederline and some castle ruins. There are lots of interesting walks to complete in and around the estate. The nearest shop is about a 15/20min drive away in Lochgilphead (a large-ish Co-op and a Tesco Express) Mobile signal was poor (a plus!) and the fast wifi worked perfectly.

Overall, thoroughly impressed the house and would highly recommend.

Thank you for this kind review. The farm house looks over Loch Awe not Loch Ederline just incase you get confused with the location. Roll on the spring and we look forward to meeting guests again!

“Perfect for large groups”
Reviewed 8 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We were a mixed group of 9 for Christmas week. This farmhouse was just perfect - lots of space for everyone. The photos really do not do the place justice - it is gorgeous with high quality furnishings and fittings.

The farmhouse was spotlessly clean and Angus and Willa were great hosts. It is isolated but only a 20 minute drive from the nearest town.

I would highly recommend.

An absolute gem. Beautifully appointed house with lots of space including bedrooms, bathrooms and garden areas. Very well equipped kitchen, laundry and dining areas. Great indoors and out. A lovely place to stay and relax and lots to do nearby. Friendly and helpful owners. A definite recommendation to any party.

“Beautiful position and a brilliant family holiday house”

The Wilsons have made a great job of converting this lovely farm house into a large family friendly holiday house on the shores of Loch Awe. The amenities are first class and there is everything you could possibly want without the house being cluttered with any junk. Loads of bathrooms and everything is beautifully decorated. There is a lot to do in the area with Lochgilphead and Inveraray close by. If you do not want to do very much, the house is big enough for everyone to have their own space with a large dining room and children's play room housing a table tennis table. We loved it. We did not do half the things we wanted which means we will return.
