“Home comforts”
Reviewed 4 weeks ago for a stay in October 2018

Wild Orchid cottage is a home from home. As a dog friendly cottage you don't want a place where you panic about specks of dirt and dog hair, and this cottage puts you right at ease. It is on the one hand lovely and comfy and has a modern kitchen and good bathroom; but on the other hand it is not a show house with white carpets! It has a fantastic heating system plus wood burner which all came in handy with the wild and woolly weather we had. If you have dogs, the cherry on the cake for this property is the garden. We have 3 dogs including one escape artist and I can tell you he checked every inch of the boundary fence and even with the huge motivation of the rabbits in the adjoining field, he didn't escape once! And to see them bounding along the top of the garden through the long grass and bracken was a sheer joy. Finally, communication with the owner from start to finish was impeccable, thank you Hazel.

“VERY COMFORATBLE STAY IN COTTAGE”
Reviewed 8 October 2018 for a stay in September 2018

fantastic cottage, very comfortable and extremely cosy, log burner is bliss to sit in front of after a hard days walking. Great location and the views from the cottage are awesome. Dog friendly too. Table tennis tournament went well, great wee added extra.

“Recommend. Good Location.”
Reviewed 29 September 2018 for a stay in September 2018

Good view from the front window. Viewed passing ships. Spotted Rabbits in the garden.
Spacious and comfortable. Warm. Delightful log burner. Housekeeping satisfactory. Enclosed garden, which our dog enjoyed.
[Not currently suitable for the very young, or those with walking difficulties.
Very steep steps into bungalow. No handrail.
Additional step into Kitchen, unseen, unexpected hazard.
Front door steps steep and broken].
It rained heavily during our visit, but we all had a very good time.

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear you found the steps tricky. I thought I had highlighted potential access issues in the cottage information on TripAdvisor, but I will need to revisit that and make sure it is more obvious- thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed your stay anyway!

“Excellent pet friendly cottage with fantastic views”
Reviewed 16 September 2018 for a stay in September 2018

The cottage is extremely well equipped in the perfect setting to visit the attractions both north and south of the island. It is very dog friendly with enclosed garden and walks nearby. The views are fantastic especially the Cuillans.. The wood burning stove is an added bonus making the cottage very cosy to drink the bottle of wine left by the owner and dog treat for the dog. We would definitely book again,
