My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at Knott Cottage. The newly renovated studio had absolutely everything we could have needed and was very clean. The location of the cottage on the bay was truly magical! We walked out to the shoreline of the bay almost immediately after our arrival. Joyce, the owner, was right! You could call up the seals in the bay by singing to them! Joyce said they particularly respond to female voices. I guess they liked my rendition of "Peaceful, Easy Feeling" by The Eagles because the seals became active and definitely came in closer to shore! I'm sure anyone who happened to be watching and listening at the time probably got a big kick out of it too!

We easily prepared our meals in the studio most nights during our stay, except for our last night when we had an unbelievable dining experience at the Kitchen Table at the Three Chimneys! We found the location of the cottage to be perfect for us as we were exploring much of the west side of the Isle. The Dunvegan Hotel's Cellar Bar was not too far down the road and was a great spot to share a pint with the locals that greeted us with such warmth.

Joyce was great to work with and made everything very easy from payment to picking up keys to anything we needed.

We would not hesitate to visit this great property again and would recommend it to any of our friends!

The Studio is spot on. There's everything you need and more. Fully fitted kitchen - plus washing machine - an awesome shower in the bathroom and the comfiest bed ever with a stonking view of the sea.

Joyce has also supplied the Studio with landranger OS maps of Skye too and there's really good wifi. We found there to be O2 signal too.

It's a really good base from exploring Skye. About 15 mins by car to Portree (and the big Co-op), about 10 to Edibane and 15/20 to Dunvegan.

There's an identical studio next door, but the layout is a reflection and another above the owners house, so you're not completely isolated. But we made friends with the couple staying next door, so definitely not complaining. Pictures look like the place too, so there was nothing to disappoint. There was also a cracking sunset on the final night.

This was our first trip to Skye and on the basis of our stay in this accommodation it is very unlikely to be our last.
We are timeshare owners and normally take a 1 or 2 bedroomed property for our holidays so we were not sure if a studio would suit us - how wrong we were as this one is so brilliantly designed.
We were also unsure that Knott would be a good location but it is very central making it easy to get to so many places of interest.

The studio was fantastic. It was clean and very comfortable. The views from the window were stunning. It was well placed for Portree and Dunvegan. We would book it again in a minute.
