This cosy holiday flat is lovingly decorated and well equipped with everything you would need. The hosts Joyce and Brian are very friendly and helpful so you can really feel at home.
The view out of our window (first floor) is as you see it on the photo - we enjoyed beautiful sunsets and interesting lights over the bay seeing the silhouette of the Isle of Harris in the distance (at clear weather).Behind the house is a marvellous garden where you are welcomed to sit.
The location of Knott is a very quiet place where you really can relax. And it is situated between Portree and Dunvegan so that you can reach many places on the island in a relatively short time.
We spent a week in Joyce and Brian's apartment and we can't say anything bad about it, the setting couldn't be more relaxing, there is everything you need and the view of the Loch at night if you get a sunset like we had is so worth it, can't praise it highly enough, roll on next year
Lovely peaceful apartment well equipped and great views. Otters from front window and lots of birdlife.
We could not ask for a better place to stay - Joyce and Brian (and Toby the Cat) were a pleasure to meet. The accommodation has everything you need. If you want to see seals look no further than the view from the apartment - they just keep bobbing up and down!. You will also see the odd bird of prey too from the windows. The accommodation was clean and perfect for our needs - we managed to see most of the main tourist places from here - we ventured south too to Elgol which is highly recommended. Sea Eagles were also seen from the MV Stardust (on our 2nd attempt!). I wouldn't hesitate staying here again in the future - it was excellent - many thanks to Joyce and Brian.
I stayed in the apartment with a friend for a long weekend on Skye (3 nights). This apartment was very cosy, with an amazing view of the loch from the kitchen/lounge area. We saw loads of seals in the loch throughout our weekend - which added to the environment. It was incredibly peaceful!
The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The apartment was comfortably warm when we entered - which was great. The rooms are a good size (not large, but not too small). With only two people it was great, however I reckon that it may get a bit more crowded with four people.
One thing I didn't realise was that the kitchen/lounge/dining room are all joined together - not necessarily a bad thing.
The couple looking after the apartment for the owners were very friendly.
Overall, we had a great and relaxing stay on the Isle of Skye and we would both return!
