After visiting the Isle of Skye briefly in September 2016 we decided to come back and spend a whole week exploring. Skye Croft was an excellent base for our stay - both in terms of location and comfort. Skye Croft itself is wonderful - very comfortable and cosy and each day we looked forward to returning after a day of exploring. Would definitely recommend a stay here and hope to visit again in the future.
Our second time at the Croft, and just got back after again an amazing week on Skye.
2 weeks later in the year than last year and a significant difference to the weather. Sun, blue skies, wind, rain and snow......it is Scotland!
Croft was as amazing as last time and perfectly located. Walks to Rubha Hunish, Neist Point, Fairy Pools extended walk and Coire Lagan in the Cuillins for spectacular views and weather.
Absolutely love this place and Skye. A well timed break from Wifi and Phone Signal! Thanks Gail, will be back next year!
Wow! What a place to stay. There was nothing at all I would change about Gail's gorgeous little croft. From waking up every morning to the seals, Herons and Oyster catchers to chilling in the Grill Kota at night. It's only 10 mins from Portree by car so even though you feel like your in the middle of nowhere you can get to the shops easily enough. We were lucky with the weather for the first couple of days but honestly it doesn't matter because it looks just as beautiful when it's cloudy. Gails communication was brilliant so all in all I would 100% recommend and we will be back!!
Wonderful croft in a breathtaking position with views to die for. Although small it is perfectly presented with all you could wish for, warm and cosy even in the coldest weather. Within easy reach of supermarket and local amenities. Great walking and sightseeing close by.
Everything that you need for a relaxing time away from the hustle & bustle of every day life, a very well equipped cottage with all mod cons that you require to knock up a meal for 2!
The wild life that you see each day from the windows is truly amazing as a family of seals use to swim past most days, the amount of different feathered friends were also amazing to see.
The location is perfect for exploring the rest of the Island as once you drive back up the little lane you are back onto the main road to Dunvegan or going in the other direction Portree and shops etc
