We enjoyed 4 nights at this wonderful property. Everything you could possibly need is provided for in the house. The owner is very welcoming and accommodating. We had a 2 month old baby with us and Barbara had provided a travel cot with bedding and had it all nicely set up for us in the room. Lovely touch with the welcome pack too.

“Easter on Skye”

Arrived in terrible weather to find a warm and comfortable haven from the wild weather. A generous box of goodies had been left in the kitchen to make us feel very welcome.
Two bathrooms is a big plus point when you have a couple of grown up offspring on holiday with you , and TV in all bedrooms allowed everyone to have their own choice of entertainment when they wanted it. Wi-Fi works in all rooms.
Has all the facilities you need.
View from the upstairs back bedroom is a joy to wake up to.
We did get out to some of the attractions locally (Coral beach is worth a visit) when the weather brightened up for the end of our visit.
There are plenty things to do not far from the property so it a great location, there is even a good 45 minute walk starting at the church across the road.
Local shops and services are good as well , especially the bakery/chip shop at the bottom end of Dunvegan.

First of all, Barbara is very accommodating despite of us getting lost along the way and have to check in late. Secondly, the apartment is excellent! An apartment with great views, cleanliness is 5/5, what else more can you ask? To sum up, the entire place was fantastic. Me and my mates can't bear to leave the place during our check out day so you get the idea. :) Thanks Barbara! Def coming back again!

Love this place!! I practically grew up in this house when my grandmother lived there when I was younger. Rob and Barbara, who now own the house, have done an amazing job renovating it and we couldn't wait to book in to see what they had done. There was just the two of us but they have provided the most comfortable house for a family or people with dogs. We will definitely take our dog next time as the walks around the house are fabulous. We slept in the back bedroom which has spectacular, uninterrupted views of the loch and the Macleod's Tables behind. Opening the curtains, lying in bed with a cup of tea each morning and looking out at that view....it can't get much better!! Barbara had made up the back bedroom for us, not knowing that it was my bedroom when I used to come and stay with my gran, it was fabulous. That room can either be huge comfy double or twin, the upstairs loo and shower room is next door also.
The house is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. There's entertainment systems, wifi throughout the house, a very well stocked kitchen, tv/dvd in each room and they even have lots of umbrellas at the front door incase it might rain. 2 bathrooms which is great if you are a family. The best bit was the welcome pack. Usually with holiday homes you might get a bottle of wine or biscuits....we got a basket filled with milk, homemade bread, local eggs, chocolates, cereals, confectionery and of course a lovely bottle of wine.
There are a few cafe's in the village and lots of nice places to eat around the island. Three Chimneys michelin starred restaurant, and in the top 25 restaurants in the world, is a 5 minute drive from the house. Dunvegan Castle is a 5 minute walk from the house. You can take a walk through the woods out the front door or explore the shore out the back door. Coral beach is a 5 minute drive. This is a great house for couples or families as kids are well catered for inside and out with a small play area in the back garden! We were there in November when the weather wasn't that great, but the house was so cosy and because the kitchen was so well equipped we ate in a lot as there are a few shops in the village and a large supermarket in Portree.
Cannot recommend this place highly enough, we absolutely loved our stay there and cannot wait to go back!!!!

“Perfect accommodation in the northern part of Skye”

Our family (parents and adult children and 1 partner) had a wonderful stay at 5 Castle Crescent. All arrangements prior to arriving worked easily and directions were faultless, Barbara's welcome was warm and her hamper of goodies really hit the spot after a long day's drive. The spotlessly clean house has absolutely everything you could think of to maximize the enjoyment of a holiday in Skye. The kitchen is beautifully equipped and comes with a stunning view - hard to know whether to prepare food or just gaze at the ever changing light over the loch and Mac Leod's Tables! The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable, great heating and lighting, and the Wifi works well.
Barbara also supplied lots of helpful local information, maps and also suggestions on activities and dining options. The Old School restaurant was one such recommendation which really worked for our family.
5 Castle Crescent was a perfect base for our visit to this gorgeous part of Scotland and we wish we had been able to stay longer.
