We were a party of five adults and we stayed here for 4 nights. Toll A Balla was great. It is a perfect location and the accommodation was lovely. It had everything we needed and was comfortable, cosy and clean. The communication with Marilyn was easy, prompt and helpful. We would recommend it and stay here again.
Stayed here in May and had already booked and paid for this visit in October, otherwise wouldn't of done so. Plus point this property is in a great location, right on the harbour and well equipped. The approach via the outside stairs is very unwelcoming, and yes part of these stairs are shared by other properties and the items that are left on the stairs are from them, but even just sweeping them on the parts that solely go to the property would help. Upon arrival, the cleaner was just finishing and where she'd cleaned she'd done a good job, but this was just touching the surface...the windows in the lounge were filthy, we cleaned them ourselves.,,,so once you looked beyond the surface it wasn't very clean, underneath the rug in the lounge was filthy, It's a shame as the property is really very tired, and in need of some tlc. For example the upvc double glazing in the front windows was blown, and needs replacing, The stains on the bathroom ceiling were still there from our previous stay in May. The arrival note/instructions say the garden is a work in progress, but looking at comments in the guest book, this has been ongoing for a while. You are spoilt for choice of rental properties in and around Tobermory, and we have stayed in many properties over the years and unfortunately this one falls short of the standards of the others, in this day and age people expect a higher standard, at least to the standard of their own house. Could be a great property, if some time and money were spent on it.

not what we expected to find the approach to the property is untidy and a not a good impression was had. it was not as clean as i would of like to have found how ever it was well equipped.

A perfect location right on the main street on the harbour. All the family settled in straight away and we did not feel the lack of anything (though with the views and walks on Mull, we didn't try the TV!
Literally a couple of minutes from the main eateries along the waterfront and the Co-op supermarket for provisions, so stress-free from the point of view of having a temporary home to venture out from to explore the iland.
We stayed for a week in August. It's the perfect location to enjoy Tobermory - and the rest of Mull. The only thing between the house and the sea is the Mull ice cream shop. Parking was easy too. Super close to all shops and restaurants - and 50m away from the fish and chip van which is a must. The house itself is great and very good value. A nice front room and kitchen area with everything you need. Two good front bedrooms with views of the sea.
