“Great family friendly cosy cottage”
Reviewed 25 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

Just back from a great week with our family at garrique. Kids loved it, and the tennis court was big bonus for them. Very peaceful and great base for exploring. Really enjoyed the "time capsule" water park in Coatbridge, well worth a visit. Very friendly and helpful owners. Will be back again.

Thank you for visiting us for half term. We loved seeing you all on the tennis court and walking up into the wood with your wee boy in the baby buggy. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay here, and rounded it off with a sunny day out at the Safari Park. Here's to a return visit.

“Very comfortable accommodation and great care by Fiona”
Reviewed 10 October 2017 for a stay in September 2017

The views from the cottage were breath taking, and in a central spot to visit many places of interest. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. The owner is very friendly and made sure that we were happy and had everything we needed. I really could not fault anything, and I would highly recommend Garrique Cottage for the more mature as well younger people and children as there is so much on the doorstep if you like walking.
Having stayed in many different cottages and apartments this cottage tops the bill.

“Great location, peaceful, spacious and functional property.”
Reviewed 5 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Just returned from a week holiday with my wife and 3 children using Garrick cottage as a base for days out and exploring. Location is fantastic for day trips to Edinburgh, Trossacks and surrounding lochs. Glencoe about 1.5 hours drive but well worth it. Accommodation is in a great location nestled in the hills with fantastic views. We stay in about 2 rentals most years but unfortunately we were disappointed by the standard of cleanliness in this property. It needs a deep clean and in some areas replacement of equipment and redecorating. The owners are clearly nice people and since I left the comments in their comment book they have been in touch seeking additional clarification regarding our feedback. They have taken this as positive feedback and explained how they will be dealing with the issues we experienced. Overall, positives are great wifi, comfortable beds, peaceful location, lovely views, free firewood for the stove and overall spaciousness. With a little re-investment, maintainance and update I am sure the reviews would come back up to Excellent.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments. We are glad you enjoyed so many aspects of the cottage, and are sorry you found it had drifted a bit below your exacting standards after a wonderfully busy summer. We had reserved the week after you left for a thorough spring clean, which has now been completed, with various items renewed. We trust our autumn visitors will be more than happy with everything.

“Nice view”

Very nice view and very silent. Plenty of space for the whole family. The weather was not sooooo good, but enough to do in surroundings.
Thank you.

Thank you very much for your review. We love to have visitors like you from Europe and are sorry you suffered a rainy week. However we are relieved you still found lots to do. It is one of the joys of being in the middle of Scotland and near lots of good roads leading to interesting places. Please come back for some better weather. Best wishes to all your family, Fiona

“Beautiful, serene country cottage”

Lovely cottage...I highly recommend. Very clean and well-appointed. Our hosts were very friendly, informative, and accommodating. The view from the front window is breathtaking... especially for suburb-dwelling Americans like us! If you want a quiet, relaxing spot in a natural setting, this is the place. Nearby is Doune Castle (a must-see for Monty Python fans) and several wonderful restaurants. A very short drive (15-20 mins) to Stirling where you'll find many attractions as well as supermarkets with everything you'll need for your stay. It's an Easy drive from the airport in Edinburgh (45-50 mins) to reach the cottage, and since Kippen is quite centrally located, you can take day trips to just about anywhere.
