Durrie Cottage was perfect for the two of us (though it has two bedrooms so can accommodate more). The kitchen and two bathrooms are newly renovated and well equipped. With views down the loch it's perfectly sited for sunsets. The absence of TV, mobile signal and internet were a blessing. Just 5 minutes walk from the village shop and cafe. There are strenuous walks into the surrounding hills or gentle lochside strolls to nearby villages. Many thanks to Shelia and Les, the friendly local "caretakers" of the cottage who showed us much kindness.
This cottage was our favorite rental during our trip in Scotland. First, the area is fantastic : the cottage is facing Loch Torridon, and nearby you'll find plenty of hikes in amazing scenery (such as Coire Mhic Nobuil and Coire Dubh). Then the cottage itself has a lot of charm : it is a family property, and it shows. It is very welcoming and cosy (not luxurious nor modern, but traditional and confortable). Both our kids and ourselves have very nice memories of our stay in Durie cottage, and we will happily come back.
Currie Cottage overlooks Loch Torridon; is easy to find and has parking for two cars outside. The view is very special.
The cottage was clean and we'll maintained. We appreciated the new bathroom; shower room and kitchen but also the still quaint Highland cottage feel of the other rooms.
It was a perfect stay for us and we are already plotting our next visit!
The cottage looks over Loch Torridon. The view is wonderful, with the added bonus of a munro behind it.
Once in Torridon village it's easy to find and has parking for two cars immediately outside. Durrie Cottage is clean and we'll equiped. It has a new kitchen; bathroom and shower room yet had the feeling of a quaint Highland cottage.
A well stocked shop with cafe are a short walk from the cottage. We are already plotting our return next year.
A lovely cottage very homely had friends visiting from the states and they thoroughly enjoyed it . Scenery second to none
