“Beautiful mountain getaway!”
Reviewed 21 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed with five adults and six kids (6-14 yrs of age) for five days. On the first drive to the house (about 10-15 mins drive off the main road) I was a little worried that everyone in my group would think it was too far from everything. However, I was worried over nothing! The kids had such a great time exploring the beautiful mountain side. The adults enjoyed the peacefulness of the location. As far as visiting places, you would have to drive to them from no matter where you stayed, so we had no issue. The food market was about 30 mins away, so one trip there for the week was all we needed.
The house it self, was very clean and neat. Towels were out on beds waiting our arrival. . We even had a few handymen come in on separate days, to finish fixing previously started projects. Neither one bothered us. In fact, the second one was never seen by us. lol He was in and out before we even knew it! FYI, the projects were cosmetic, nothing that hindered our stay there. Iain kept us informed of everything via phone and email. He was very nice, and easy to talk to.
I would definitely recommend this rental. Thanks Iain and Nia!

“Great house for a large group”
Reviewed 11 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Great house to stay in, good little extras such as board games if the weather keeps you inside. Group of 10 of us stayed, plenty of room for us all. Well equipped with the double oven and large fridge freezer and plenty of unit and cupboard space , . Quiet surroundings, had a small family of deer just outside front garden most nights. Wood burning stove runs a little differently than a normal fire but if you are patient and tend it well to begin with it's a breeze and is surprising how well it heats the large open plan livingroom/kitchen. Sauna is highly recommended, especially if your feeling tender after a long night of 'holidaying'.

“40th Birthday celebration with family & friends.”
Reviewed 18 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

The lodge is of the highest standard and is complimented and further enhanced by the setting. Simply stunning!

The process of booking and securing the lodge was achieved with relative ease due mainly to the helpful and collaborative nature of the owners.

The lodge is comprehensively equipped and can easily cater for groups of upto 12 guests. This includes 5 bedbedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a sauna, a large lounge / kitchen / dining area as well as good sized utility room downstairs. The website for the property is very in-depth ( including precise instructions on how to get there). I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends as an ideal setting /location for short/long breaks. Absolutely stunning!!!

“helpful home owner and beautiful house.”
Reviewed 15 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

I stayed in this house for a weekend with a big group of friends. It was an a great but interesting stay and the views are absolutely incredible. Due to a tree falling on the power lines in bad weather we unfortunately had no power at the house and had to use a generator. The home owner was incredibly helpful through all of this, talking us through use of the generator, responding to our phone calls and txt messages instantly and calling or txting to check up on us. The house is true to the pictures and is lovely with a well equipped kitchen and large spacious living areas. There are plenty of beds at the house which makes it perfect for large families or a big group of people.
