“Loved it and would return anytime”
Reviewed 22 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Exactly as described, beautifully appointed and has everything for a wonderful stay, we were only a party of four but it was obvious that it could comfortably accommodate 6. The welcome gift of wine, shortbread and milk in the fridge was a niece touch, the cupboards had a good supply of emergency foods for a use and replace basis. This was the early part of winter and the house was superbly warm with a wood burner should you want to light it. Were I visiting this wonderful part of Scotland again I would most certainly return to Oiseval.

“lovely house”
Reviewed 23 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

we stayed here on a family holiday for 4 nights 3 generations the youngest being my one year old grandson. The house is cosy, the kitchen and bookshelf well stocked and has beautiful views. There was lots of wild life in the garden including pheasants and a bird table with lots of little song birds visiting (the owners also provide bird food) it's a short walk down hill to the village which has a few pubs also a chip shop near the garage which gets rave reviews. We ate out once in the Loch Inn which serves huge portions of very nice fish and chips, There are so many walks to go on and lots to see, you can also try a boat trip which is a great way of seeing Lochness. The owner Ros was very helpful and called straight away when I had a query about the heating. Also she very kindly left a welcome gift of shortbread and wine along with a welcome card.Would recommend Thanks Ros and David :)

“Perfect house in perfect location, dont look elswhere!!”

Five of us stayed in Oiseval in the last week in May and we all agreed it was absolutely perfect. The house is beautiful with lovely views and in a perfect location and had everything needed to make the stay like being in a home from home. It was a short 5 minute walk down into Fort Augustus with several pubs and restaurants and the usual gift shops. If you try the haddock at the Loch Inn, be warned you will need to be hungry to get through it all!

The local garage also has a well stocked Londis supermarket attached to it, a little bit pricey as you would expect in a rural location but there is a large Tesco near Inverness airport for the bulk essentials!!

We will DEFINITELY be returning, thank you again Ros for letting us share your home.

“Wonderful rental”
Reviewed 21 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Ros and David's house was a fantastic base for a lovely week in the Highlands. We have rented many places over the last thirty years and Oiseval is up there with the very best. No need to pack a garlic press or other essential bits of kitchen kit, it is all there. The welcome bottle of vino and the shortbread was much appreciated. We had great weather all week so lots of walking with Baxter the dog who loved the Loch swimming. A return visit is assured.
