Had lunch here couple of days ago. Pub itself is a bit dated but service very good. Fish was massive with incredibly crispy batter along with nice chips. Onion rings delicious. Shame tartar sauce not supplied as usual although was asked if any sauces required. Quite busy even though a bit off beaten track.

thank you for for your comments always pleased to hear good things about the food, we only took over The Bein Inn the day you came in we do have plans to make changes, but bare in mind the inn is over 300 yrs old and needs to be in character, but I take on board what you are saying.

Visited with family on Saturday . Got a nice friendly welcome on arrival and taken to our table in the bar area. Drink ordered taken by a pleasant young chap. We were told that there would be a wait on our food as the chicken stuffed with haggis is cooked from fresh... Boy it was worth the wait... The gammon steak and chicken fagitas were also very tasty.. Four of our party had desserts and the sticky toffee pudding was just perfect. Custard was not on the menu but there was not a problem getting it. No issues with any of the food. Staff very friendly also. At end of the meal the owner gave us all a liquor on the house. Very pleasant man.. We will certainly be back and will be recommending to family and friends. Keep up the good work!!!

Went out with our two children for a meal on Saturday night here. Staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The choices on the menu are varied, so something for everyone. The meal itself was amazing, food was excellent, couldn't fault it. Altogether a lovely family night out. Would highly recommend!!

Popped in for lunch with my Mum, hadn't booked but were welcomed in, enjoyed steak ciabattas which came with chips and salad. Perfect sized portion for lunchtime. Very tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. My fussy son wanted something which wasn't on the menu and they were able to do this for him with no question.
Will definitely be back soon.
Thanks!

Wife and I popped along for Sunday lunch. I hate to say this but it was probably the worst presented meal I've had in a pub since the 80s - really Bein Inn - please see what standards pub food is achieving now and rethink your cost cutting decisions. Ordered the roast dinner - a meagre plate consisting of a small amount of reheated veg, no mash just some dry roasted potatoes, a tiny dribble of gravy, the beef itself was thin sliced and stringy, but tasted ok, yorkshire pudding was a cold, dismal little thing, raw in parts about the size of a jaffa cake - lol - I didn't even know you could get Yorkshire puddings that size - the entire meal had the overall feel of the cheapest frozen pre-packaged TV dinner from a low-rent supermarket - Terrible. I was too embarrassed to tell the nice waiter how sad the meal made me. I left hungry. Wife's steak looked better but nothing to write home about. Please rethink everything - oh and the seats were filthy - the whole experience was retro but not in a good way. Is it really so difficult to roast fresh veg everyday? How much can you be saving by reheating? Tired, lazy, poor quality - very disappointing. will try another visit in a while as we're local and it used to be great - it may of just been a bad day - i hope so!!

hi There, we are very sorry you had this experience. It is obviously not how we want our customers to feel. We now have a new improved Sunday Roast dinner on , which will definitely not be as your experience was. I do hope you can pop back along very soon and have the experience that leaves you feeling full and satisfied this time. Again Apologies and do hope to see you again.
