We visited Checheks whilst staying in Aberfeldy for a weekend. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself felt homely and comfortable and we really felt we were eating proper authentic Persian food. We had the Mezze starter which was 6 different items with hummus, tzaziki and bread and then shared a lovely chicken stew/curry and lamb kebab dish. My partner had the wonderful homemade apple pie and I had a delicious Persian rice pudding that was made with almonds, saffron and rose water. The restaurant is BYOB and ended up being surprisingly cheap!! We would definitely come back and recommend this lovely restaurant. Thank you!
(We brought our sleeping baby in his pram and the owner was lovely and found a little space for us to let him sleep so we could eat in peace!)
