Description: Superb tea room in the wilds of highland Perthshire. Well worth the 60 mile trip from Perth. Scones piled high with proper cream - wonderful!

Happy welcome, speedy discrete service. We were the only customers at the time. Pleasant food, nice coffee. Genuine farewell.

A trip up or down Scotland’s loveliest glen is just totally enhanced by a stop here. Great soup, Guinness cake to die for and lovely people running it. And you’re putting money straight back to a real rural economy. Why not?

We parked at Innerwick and took the high path through the forest to Bridge of Balgie. Took a couple of hours with lots of stops to admire the views. Defended down to Bridge of Balgie reaching the road at the Glen Lyon Post Office. On offer was a choice of home made soups, sandwiches and cakes.
All presented beautifully and consumed with gusto.
Most unexpected and welcome, a must for all visitors to Glen Lyon, whether walking, cycling or driving.

Looking for the way to Mary’s praying hands and we asked a post lady. She sent us to talk to Becky at the post office tea room. Beck was. Very helpful and soon had us on our way. OS map directions.
Unfortunately by the time we returned we missed out on the tea as it was too late. But thanks Becky your advice was spot on and we will return for tea!!!

Thank Steve M
