Went to Brodie Countryfare for lunch today and although it was very busy it was well managed. Waited in a queue for a table which didn’t take long. Excellent choices for lunch and the food was great quality and well priced. Will definitely be back

Having moved away from the area years ago, it always fills me with you to come back and visit Brodie. The gift shop is just as a remember it, with a wide selection of local produce available. The restaurant has had a much needed extension and is now four times the size that I remember it being - it looks great and the service was just as good too, with smiles from all the staff. It was good to see some entertainment during the holidays for the kids too - well done.

Yet again Brodie has not addressed the fact that nut allergy sufferers might want to eat something at their restaurant.

My daughter took me for lunch here on Saturday. The place was very busy being the Easter weekend. We were shown to our table then had to join the que again. We both decided to have a baked potato with tuna and salad. We had to wait forty mins for the food. The juice was warm the salad was dry with no dressing on it. The tuna didn’t have enough mayonnaise in it either. The seats were very uncomfortable with no cushions on. All in all pretty disappointing. Also the toilets were in a bit of a mess things like this are important to customers. They should be getting checked every hour with a rota system. We Won’t be hurrying back

The food is homemade, varied and very tasty. However it can get extremely busy during peak dining times and especially at weekends and public holidays. We were there early lunch time on Easter Saturday and it was head spinning it was so busy. Therefore difficult to know if there is a free table or not. Don't let that put you off as the food is fab (and I think they do takeaway if you ask). Just be prepared to wait!
