My daughter and I crossed over this bridge multiple times as we travelled from the Queensferry Double Trree Hotel into Edinburgh. It was an easy commute with no toll.

If you like bridges - and, be honest, who wouldn't? - then nothing in the world beats the sight of the three magnificent and majestic Forth bridges. We took the train from Waverley Station across the rail bridge (to North Queensferry), admired the rail bridge for ages (as it slowly emerged from the fog) and walked across the now-quiet old road bridge, before getting the bus back to the city. A lovely morning walking through one of the UK's top locations.

A don't know why people are picking on the bridge. It is a great bridge. It's been open and worked for nearly 130 years. Hasn't lost any trains and looks nice in red. I give it 5 stars.

Out for a cycle up north queensferry way and the railway bridge really stands out as you approach it. A marvellous piece of scottish enginerring. The cycle across the Forth road bridge is lovely and bracing. When on it you get fantastic view of the rail bridge and the river forth and all going on.

Visiting Edinburgh & this was on the 'to do list'. It cost about £11.50 rtn for two adults to cross it (to North Queensferry) on the train. The views are brilliant and it only takes about 20 minutes from Edinburgh Waverley. Return trains are every ten minutes or so. The view of the bridge itself isn't great from North Queensferry or Dalmeny, as you're looking at the ends, so if you want to see it in it's entirety, it will involve a trip to the river bank. For those interested in planes too, you will pass Edinburgh airport to get to the bridge (on your left as you travel out).
Crossing the Forth Bridge will allow you spectacular views of the old road bridge & new Queensferry crossing (again to your left as you travel out).

Thank A M
