just got back after a short stay at this b&b and I will certainly not be gong back. to anyone contemplating a stay in Falkland give this place a wide berth, I travel all around the country and I have stayed in some bad places before but this place beats all of them hands down.
the place is a complete shambles, I was in room 4 on arrival I was met by the owner, a woman, sorry still don't know her name as she did not introduce herself. she showed me to room 4, a very dark corridor if you don't know where the lights are. as she left me in the room she commented that she just looks in from time to time, this was true as the room was not cleaned throughout my four night stay, the room itself is in bad need of decorating but could be half decent if it was cleaned, all of the room is completely filthy from top to bottom. badly fitted laminate flooring sticking up at the doorways crushed spiders on the wall and also some live ones. the owner entered my room once during the stay to take away used tea bags but the bin was bursting by the end of my stay, the en suite is made up from a small alcove with no ventilation for steam from the shower as a result the paint is peeling from the walls.
in the room there was two single beds, when I got into bed it squeaked to high heaven and on looking under the bed I discovered the slats were broken. at breakfast the following morning the owner started to inform me that she wanted to sell the place and also proceeded to tell me personal things about her not being with her husband anymore, being happily married this was not what I wanted to hear. overall a bad stay.
