Myself and my partner popped in today as we were driving through Cupar. Both had Cajun wrap and soup and it was excellent. Place was very busy for a Monday lunchtime and I can understand why.

Been a while since I last visited but again lived up to my expectations, still far and away my favourite restaurant in Fife! Great food, charming staff, great value and a very relaxed atmosphere. Better book in advance though, the place was full when I called.

My partner and I have found this little gem..we eat here every couple of months..the food is typical pub grub but 5star pub grub! There is also always a specials board with a few treats..the pub comes across as lovely and friendly with a mixture of visitors and locals...the icing on the cake are the staff ,who are all excellent, couldn't be more helpful ...we will be back

Ate again at the Boudingait for lunch; its a corner pub on Cupar main street, but an unexceptional exterior hides a lovely friendly eating experience.
the staff are so friendly in a genuine Scottish way, the menu suits many tastes ( a traditional starter/mains/drinks menu, plus a Lighter bites menu, plus an eat-at-the-bar menu). The service is quick and relaxedly efficient, the quality of the dishes is excellent, and the qualtities are truly fillingly pub-like. the range of beers on offer is very good as well as a perfectly adequate and reasonably priced wine list.
I havent yet tries the desserts, but only because after a starter and main dish I am contentedly full !

We were advised when booking our B&B to book ahead for restaurants prior to our visit, as Cupar is a small place & they can get booked up
The Boudingate was recommended as the best pub in town that served lovely food
We booked for the Friday evening & were given a lovely welcome on arrival by Dawn (our waitress) and the other members of staff
The place had a lovely cosy atmosphere & although full, we received excellent attentive service
The food was piping hot & delicious so much so that we ate there again on the Sunday evening
We will definitely return again when next in Cupar
Thank you to Dawn & the team for 2 lovely evenings & special mention to the guy who took our booking on Sunday evening for fitting us in
