I had wandered across this little gem purely by accident whilst visiting Cupar with my Mother for some Christmas Shopping. We glanced up the alleyway and decided to pop in. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated immediately. It was warm, cosy and had a distinct air of class with the wine stacks and low lighting. My mother and I ordered the Cullen Skink and a side portion of King Prawns in a pepper and coconut sauce. We didn't really have any expectations and were too busy caught up with chatting away until the food arrived! We sat in absolute silence for the next 15 minutes as we devoured our served dishes, apart from the frequent ooh and mmm noises we were making. I was so delightfully impressed with the taste and quality of the food and immediately took another look at the menu, planning for my next visit! I took my husband there 2 weeks later and ordered the Wild Mushroom and Venison lasagne, again, absolute silence. Thankfully there wasn't many people about, so we got to make all the food porn noises we liked lol. It really was that good! My new favourite hidden gem. They have a reasonably small menu, but they have perfected it, let me assure you. There are always specials on the board for a bit of variety for those who visit often (me) and I always look forward to trying something new. But their tried and tested methods of their existing menu, work very well. Its distinctive, with their own twist on traditional favourites. The ingredients are fresh and local, and the staff are just lovely. This place is worth the journey if you are anywhere in Fife. You won't be disappointed.
