I have visited this place before and it is good. Fabulous views over the surrounding countryside, the Forth and beyond.

The potential for this establishment is boundless but it could be better. Can’t complain about the food and drink, nor the service actually, although other reviews do tend to be bordering on scathing to a thumbs up. Using locally sourced ingredients the food is tasty, interesting and wholesome. Good menu too!

The pricing is about right I suppose.

The problem I have, and it was mentioned by others in my party was although there was local craft type stuff on sale it was far too limited and lacking imagination. One other annoying thing was the visitors book at the main door had no space for comment. This minor detail might sound trivial but assuming the establishment is geared up for visitors/tourists this opportunity to make comment sound be available. A tatty looking scribbled book on entry isn’t professional and doesn’t give the right impression.

The menus are old, stained and dog eared, again not giving that feel good factor.

I would always recommend this place but a bit more attention to detail would just make that certain difference.

Arrived after a long journey. Great herd of dairy cows awaited us, great views. Entered lovely modern building with great expectations to be told drinks only as a large party was arriving in half an hour. So sat down for drinks. Noticed the viewing gallery which is what we had come for, only to find a tiny room, lights out & no cheese making going on. Cheeses were for sale but as far as I could make out they were from different cheese makers. No samples of their cheese to taste & buy! What a huge missed business opportunity. I'm sure food would be good but service & cheeses which are not promoted was terrible & such a waste of a visit. I would say don't bother!

Good services, good cheese, great desserts. Very popular with the locals, we might be the only touristy group for lunch. We ordered multiple baking goods & coffee (will go with tea next time). We were hoping to see the cheese being made - however, only saw the pictures of how the cheeses were made! Still would come back for the desserts

This is a farm that makes cheese on site. However, if you want to watch it being made you have to go on the right day so you must phone ahead to find out which day and at what time. Other than that it's a bit boring. There's a cafe on site.

Really busy on a rainy Sunday but got sat down straight away.
Everyone enjoyed their meals & I loved the hot smoked salmon on crushed potatoes.
Simple food done well is a winner!
