Myself and my wife had a drive to Anstruther yesterday afternoon, and parked down by the harbour. We were surprised at how busy it was, given it was an afternoon in November. The car park we parked in was full and there were plenty of people walking about.
First of all we visited the Lifeboat House which we found very interesting (see separate review). Across the road from here is the Scottish Fisheries Museum. We only had a look in their shop as we didn't have time to visit the museum today. Next we had a stroll along the seafront where there were numerous cafes and eateries open. There were people walking about with ice creams, and of course Anstruther is also home to the famous fish and chip bar. Finally, we crossed over the road and had a look at the many boats in the harbour and also had a walk out on one of the piers where I was able to capture some amazing photos just as the sun was setting and reflecting on the buildings.
All in all a great afternoon out and I would certainly recommend a visit to this beautiful picturesque spot.
